it will be a 2 vs 2 elimination chanpionship

there will be no judges on the matches , we will trust players about who wins

players can use pvp or pve chars and change professions freely , just need to tell everyone about it, if they change char/name.

10 min limit to change setings/char/etc before next match

the rules are GVG rules , it will be the game controling.

Objectives

The objective of a GvG match is to kill the opposing team's Guild Lord, an NPC character, who is sitting in the opponent's base and has several other NPCs who guard him. If the Lord is killed, that Lord's team loses. Alternatively, if an entire team has -60% Death Penalty, that team loses.

In GvG battles each guild has a flag that spawns in or near their base. Putting your guild's flag in the flag stand (usually near the island center) and holding it for more than 2 minutes will give your team a 10% morale bonus.

Note: In a GvG match all dead players and the Guild Thief (but no other NPCs) will automatically be resurrected by the Resurrection Shrine in their base every 2 minutes. (Provided their Death Penalty hasn't reached the maximum of -60%. At that point a player can only be resurrected by another party member.)

Victory or Death

If a GvG match lasts 18 minutes, all the NPCs (except the Guild Thief, if there is one) will begin to abandon the Guild Lord and move to the flagstand where they will remain for the rest of the match. This may turn the tide of the battle as the Guild Lord is very vulnerable without the NPCs that guard him, and the extra NPC firepower near the flag stand also puts more pressure on combatants. Any locked gates will be opened.

Each of these NPCs carries a shout skill named "Victory or Death!". The NPCs will use this skill repeatedly starting at 18:00. This affects everyone on the map.

After 20 minutes the Guild Lord will walk to the center. There are points on the map that a Guild Lord will not go past until the enemy Guild Lord has reached the mirror image of that location on the opposite side of the map.

Yes, me and Neoteo are trying to make such an event. This thread will be edited repeatedly with new ideas, rules, postponements, etc.

Feel free to make suggestions about anything for this tournament. Me and Neo will be VERY BUSY, and all the suggestions will be greatly appreciated. There is no "stupid" suggestion .... being its a suggestion lol Razz

SPREAD THE WORD! spam the alliance chat or something, tell your guild and alliance friends, the guild and alliance chat about the new tournament taking place. The more, the Merrier!

Also, be making templates if you wish. They will at least help you get prepared faster for the tournament.

Rules: Part 1

Here are some rough rules, agreed upon by me and Neo, about various catagories. Feel free to argue against these rules, or to suggest any new rules. Any replies will be discussed between Neo and I and our result will be posted in the updated post. These rules can change, so be aware and read good, for you may never know a needed rule! Time limits aren't strict, but would be nice to follow them as best as you can!

RULES OF COMPETING!
1 ) Each team consists of only 2 persons, and these persons can only be players (no heroes or henchman).

2 ) There are NO limitations on person's skills / builds / weapons / armor / runes / etc.

3 ) All strategies are welcome into the tournament, including running / excessive healing / extreme builds / etc.

4 ) There will be no draw (since the GvG system prevents draws), so with every match, there will be a winning team and a losing team.

5 ) Before each match, the teams have up to 10 minutes to change characters / professions / skills / etc. to their desire.

6 ) Characters participating in the tournament are allowed, regardless of their origin ( pvp or pve / proph or fact or NF or GWEN )

7 ) Opposing teams are allowed to spy upon each other physically (glancing / clicking on them to see professions / etc.)

8 ) During the first 5 minutes of preparation, you are allowed to change characters by announcing that you are doing so, telling the name of the character you are getting on, and getting that character in the team before the final half of the preparations.

9 ) This is the hard rule in my opinion. This tournament is based on the trust system, being that when the battles end, both teams honestly tell whose team won and lost. We do not want ANY interference with these battles, so there will be no ref and no spectators. Although I doubt that a disagreement will take place, there is a painful solution to it. So please be honest and respectful of your foes: If both teams fail to agree on who won or who lost, both teams are disqualified. THIS IS THE NOTICE. Please do not joke about this part of the contest, we are trusting every contestant with being trustworthy, plz don't take advantage of it. (there will be a team leader with each team, we will ask them first who won. if they disagree, we talk with the other two persons. if they also disagree, then disqualifications occur)

10 ) Any form of audio/voice team speaks for the teams is allowed. We understand how inconvenient it is to try to type during a hard battle!

also, we plan that after the 2v2, there will be a 3v3, then 4v4, etc.

So we will gain a lot of knowledge and experience with these contests!

thats a very good idea but i have to admit having 2 ppl take on a whole base of peeps will b extremely difficult

i suggest just having 2 v2 that way it'd add a different dynamic to the game also i think the teams should b picked randomly that way u can level the playing field

please consider these suggestions Smile

the rules are set .... im not going to play 2 on 2 or another 1 on 1 , with people walking around and fighting each other while the match is going ... or have someone with a watch controling the time , thats too much BS imo.

if we are going to screamage , we play GVG rules or we dont play .

did you try it ? i want people to learn that gvg is not about having a good skill bar and killing your noob oponent.

gvg is a mix of pvp and pve ...

the teams should not be random , people should talk to each other , make a 16 skills build , im hoping teams are made at least one week before the event.

im sending a shout to all officers to spam in allience chat , i would like to have more people from other guilds then ours. since they are 9 guilds and we are 1.

please post in allience chat about the event at least once when you get online.

also , i would advise everyone to get a team mate as soon as possible and start experimenting gvg rules , cose i know 99.9% of you dont know how the game play goes.

Yes, we will use the trust system for this Tournament, Keng. Although it sounds fair to ref a battle, we have seen previous interferences. With such long battles in this tournament, we cannot afford a screw up in the fights.

Also, using the trust system, we can see who are trustworthy and who aren't. Although i doubt we have members who lie and cheat to get the things they want, we have to have a just-in-case rule. This rule also helps bind our alliance together better, being about to trust each other is a significant factor in PvP.

Thank you for pointing your opinions though. Opinions and suggestions are welcome to us. Someone could find an error in our rules and systems, so keep replying!

yes , it would be cool if people try 2 vs 2 and see how the game play goes and see if its fun or not ... i love the gvg game thats why i would like that our ternouments would be around it and not just kill the other.and i also think this will be very good gvg training for those that want to start gvging.

i have tryed 2 vs 2 and it was not long at all , i went running to flag stand while my oponent went to my lord , when i arrive at is lord , my lord was almost dead , i decide to try to kill the lord , instead of running back to defence and save my lord ... so i lost , after 2 to 3 minutes , my lord was dead.
