Edition #3 The Tournament 5/5/08 Gw00910

Fierce Battles!

Azmuth v Chase
Honestly these too probably near had one of the most
fierce battles in the competition these two
fought for so long that we had predetermined who one
of the finalist were b4 they even finished their match congrats
guys

Toskenja v Neo
This battle was as intense as it was quick
both combatants danced around half health for the duration of the
battle while Neo had raw power on his side
Toskenja emerged as victor knocking one of the speculated
tourney powerhouses out of commission

Beau on the Rise
Beau shook the his combatants with a stunning
display of hexes and tactical agility after quickly
zooming through 2 rounds, beau met his end in
the semi-finals against Mighty

The Final Match

Toskenja clawed his way to the top
after many delays and set backs againist his
former competitors...his final match was
to b with Mighty....spectators flocked to the match
eager to view the coming battle
The battle began each side came out strong
at first Toskenja's defense proved to much for
Mighty's more then lacking offense
however Mighty eventually gained the upper hand
with his relentless denial skills Toskenja was forced into
a corner...heal? or die? thus the match continued
Toskenja on the defense Mighty fighting
to break through that defense however....
....the match couldnt have ended so easely
Toskenja collapsed Mighty smirked in victory
however it was revealed that a spectator
had intervened thus breaking Toskenja's momentum
accepting this the two returned in a rematch
The battle was quick and damaging to both sides
Mighty suffered heavy conditions however
Toskenja surcame to yet another specatoter related incident
....YET another rematch with was set up
This time Toskenja swiped victory from Mighty's claws...
thus emerging as THE AOL TOURNEY CHAMP!!!
----but i'll return-----

Thanks Keng for summarize such an exciting tournament so greatly. Your details and descriptions are astonishing! I was surprised upon winning, and i was so nervous i was shaking lol. If it wasn't for the "no healing" matches, I dont think i would've had as much of a chance, honestly. I think it was the positioning of the persons upon the bracket that was the most important factor. The tournament was spectacular and I thank Akroma for making the tournament, and everyone else for helping us all experience a great event within Guild Wars.

I hope we have more tournaments, like thiis one, soon. It would be great scheduling some 2v2. 3v3, and other combinations to test even more skill within players!

Keep up these posts, Keng, you give interesting stories with each post.

I might even try to make a contest myself. Only not experimental like these gladiator matches, but maybe like .... ill think of something Razz
