http://us.gw2stuff.com/en   Gives you an overlay listing when events happen you can have up while playing the game.  much cooler I think

http://www.gw2state.com/temples.html Tells you what temples are presently open on what servers. It's great for mapping and if you want karma stuff from the temples.

You can use gw2stuff for that as well, temples that are open show up as blue boxes, or if you just click on US worlds at the top, it shows you all the events across every server.
