Oh goodness, is this you guys?

So this morning I was bumming around the Plains of Ashford, grabbing mats and generally trying to level my alt in the most circuitous and lazy way possible. After running around for a while, helping out a couple trial people I noticed that two people from the [AoL] guild were following me, watching whatever I did, but not interrupting or saying anything.
I stopped and asked them what they were doing, and they did nothing but spam emotes and stare at me. Kinda creepy, have to admit.
I figured they would go away after a while, seeing that I was a genuinely boring person.
Oh how wrong I was.
These guys followed me forever. All over the map. After a while I made sure I wasn't taking waypoints, and after doing an escort several people that weren't from their guild decided to follow them, thinking they had some big plan. That in turn turned into me having 4-5 random people following me around the map.
Then shit got real.
We did a dynamic event, and suddenly 4 of them turn on their commander tag, and people began flocking to the mass of colors on the map, wondering what was going on. Finally one of them spoke up "we're following Forgerend, our glorious leader! Join us!"
Crap.
Now I've got 10-15 buggers running around, killing everything for me, I'm completing hearts in minutes, events are a complete wreck because of how many people are doing them, all that great stuff. I gotta say, I felt like a necromancer, with this huge horde of mindless zombies doing everything I did.
It was a truly dynamic event, a sandbox moment inside the game, and it was amazing. My little minion army followed me around for another hour after that, and by the end of it they were asking me to make speeches, bless them, telling map chat about how I was the second coming of the Khan-Ur... It was pretty awesome.
If any of you [AoL] freaks are reading this, thanks for the good time.

This amazing comment has been posted to Reddit and Tia kindly shared it with us here.  It turns out that it was definitely our AoL.  Dragnix (Kara) and some other AoL peeps came up with this cool idea.

I think this is absolutely AMAZING, AWESOME, & COOL!!!        

I would love to see this become a regular silly/fun AoL activity  I will be willing to do this any time I am on and have time!  This will be a way we can be different, stand out, and for personal reasons do something that we don't normally do every single day.  I think it can also be used as a fun recruiting tool.  I really hope we can find a nice group of people willing to do this at different times of day
