Proposal: Free Raffle for Bags

Was talking to Tia, and he suggested since we have so many 18 slot bags (and some 15's), we should find a way to give some away.  He suggested putting everyone's name in a hat.  I suggested we elaborate on that a tiny bit.

So here's the proposal:

Free raffle for guildies, we will raffle off most (but not all) of the bags we have in the officer stash (we can keep a few for other prizes, like a surprise 4th prize for the halloween lotto or a surprise extra santa gift randomly drawn from the secret santa participants).

We would require that people sign up for the FREE raffle by posting in the free raffle thread on the forums, thereby encouraging people sign up and visit the forum.

If we want to encourage weekly visits to the forum, we can always have a weekly draw for 1, 2, or 3 bags, which requires people sign up each time, to get their name in the hat.

It's free, but it means people MUST come to the forum to participate.  If we want to do it on a weekly or biweekly basis, I can coordinate it ... it's pretty easy to do.

could do it like the old Zoob thread that was fun xD .. the Xth comment wins a prize/cant post twice in a row or X times in X amount of time

hehe you can do that if you want to .. I just wanted to do something more simple to encourage people to sign up for the forums and come back weekly or something. <3

I was really just asking if you guys are ok with me doing that to use up some bags (I should have been more clear when I asked ... I'll edit the OP to clarify)

I'm adding some things I've recently acquired from SW, namely a bonetti's rapier and other goodies as mystery grab bags/raffle for those signed up and I'll use some of the 15/18 slot bags as well.

Also, to clarify, Tia is talking about doing a raffle for some extra goodies for the secret santa participants. This is separate from the raffle mentioned above. We're going to split it so I use some of the bags for the free raffle, and he will use some for the Santa thing!

I'd say to try and do like the Lotto without officers first... But not wait as long to include officers if noone participates.
