Mesmer

Alright my awesome lovely guildies! I am in the process of leveling my mesmer who is currently level 57?
I basically only want her for PvE but I dont want her to die too easily, hoping that our other mesmers out there might give me a hand with a layout for me to check out.
I'd appreciate any advise and help <3

Really depends on what you want to do with the Mesmer in PvE; Farming, dungeons, etc.

Since I've been back and forgot a lot of how classes work, what skills do what, and what talent trees are good for what build I've just been going to:

They have good builds that will give you a base line on what build you're looking for.

Eventually if you're wanting to run do dungeon speed runs, it seems like nothing has changed that drastically in terms of you still wanting a full set of at least exotic zerk gear, trinkets etc. and have to rely on your dodging abilities and knowledge of the dungeon fights.

Thanks for that Daph, I think I will have my mesmer set for primarily JPs, general PvE mapping and WBs, I will also bring her into some dungeons or fractals if required for certain sections.

Here is the build I use on my Mesmer.

Armor & trinkets are full Power, Precision, Ferocity.

I use five Mesmer runes.  And one Ruby Orb.  I may switch that up at some point, but they are cheap and give power precision.

Traits:

Domination:  4 - III (Empowered Illusions), X (Greatsword Training)

Dueling:  2 - II (Phantasmal Fury)

Chaos:  0

Inspiration:  4 - II (Glamour Mastery), VIII (Wardens Feedback)

Illusions:  4 - VI (Dazzling Glamours), X (Phantasmal Haste)

I use Greatsword and Sword/Focus or Scepter/Focus.

I prefer pistol for more damage than Focus, but I need to come up with some tweaks for when I want to drop the GS.  I can't live without my focus, so I'd probably go with Sword/Pistol and Scepter/Focus.  

I should swap to 2/4/0/4/4 when using Pistol instead of GS.
