Interest in a Private PvP Guild Arena

Yo Ho! Mutt here,

We are looking to see how much interest there would be to have a private pvp arena. There is a 200g initial fee and a daily fee of 2g a day to keep this arena open. With access to a private arena for the guild. We can use the arena as a teaching tool, to help those who are interested in pvp to learn a few things. Such as the map's and stratigies. We can also hold guild events such as a guild fight club. Where we can have 2 guild memebers duke it out and have others spectate and perhapts bet money on the winner. Also with access to this private arena people can also get a few dailies done realitivly easy opening another way to complete dailies without much hassle. There are a few other things we can do as well with this arena. But we would like to see how many people would be actually interested in doing this.

I am definitely interested!  Mutt did not mention it, but I have offered to pay for the initial 200g start up fee.  All I need to see is genuine interest in this, and at least 10 members willing to help maintain the future monthly costs.

Well i have started getting the funds to keep the guild arena going. midway and myself will be running the arenas when midway is not in the wvw activities. ink will be my second and will be the one who will have the second team put together, both ink and my self will research into different pvp builds as well.

This sounds like it could be fun!

I have a friend that hosts her room as Admin. The biggest hassle I see on daily servers is dealing with trolls who willngly break rules (thus banned), teaching random new people how to work together, and typing into map chat for the ones who are too lazy to /wiki rank farming.

My Point: as i understand it, and under the current system, only one person is the owner and admin of a private room. It will take some time each day.

Ok guys,More than welcome to join the pvp arena with Mutt,but i`m still a noob at all this but willing to learn if Mutt can show me,will also help with the start up fee an more than willing to help with daily fees aswell.

I would use it for dailies pretty frequently and would be willing to help with the fees as long as there are several others that do the same. I'd also use it for PvP training or whatever else we would use it for. This would be a private arena for guild use only, correct?

I would be interested. Have to ask though, HoT introduces Guild Halls, and they have a PvP Arena in them do they not?

Should we bother with forking over gold and maintenance costs for our own Arena when we will kinda get one with the Expac?

Yes we should cause not everyone is going to be able to get HoT right away like others. So the arena will serve as that middle ground for those with hot and those without.

I am willing to teach anyone how to pvp. I just need to know which class everyone is going to be bringing.

Im digging the interest in this! I would be willing to handle the monthly cost of upkeep myself, just so everyone can enjoy it, since there looks to be alot of folks who want to do it.

Ill be doing my research and I'm willing to work with anyone on builds and testing. I'll be available from 7-11 mon-fri and mostly all day weekends unless some real life events come up. (Like they have the last couple of days)

Lets make this happen guys! It's great fun, and we have little time until the expansion and things get real!

i found a name: Flavian Amphitheatre which ,The Flavian Amphitheater (Anfiteatro flaviano puteolano), located in Pozzuoli, is the third largest Roman amphitheater in Italy.
the next thing i would like to talk about the rewards track. the rewards track will be disabled if the admin of the arena uses:
/gamestart – Forces the current game to start. Disables rewards and stats.

/gameend – Ends the current game. Disables rewards and stats.
which are used for private tournaments.

This info should be put on a stickied post somewhere with other useful infos like TS server, FB group, etc...

This post has been up for a while. We asked on ts and in guild chat what the name should be and no one put their two cents in so I googled and came up with this.


And ink I've been informed that there is a new guildie that is at the same level Midway is. I think tonight when I get back home. I am going to have a rank of the toughest guildies
