Quietness and slowing down
I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that things seem to be going quiet not only in guild chat but also on Ts
yes i know members have a life in the real world, i myself have been doing other stuff and not getting on ts during the day but when i do there's only about 3 or 4 people on there, and apart from Aaron and Michael who should be in bed at the time i log on as they are the other side of the world. And after daily's are done its a case of sitting here looking at the screen wondering what to do next, So what we going to do about it before boredom sets in, I'm coming up to my busiest time of year with my work so I'll be like a headless chicken running around. Kara and Aaron are busy getting their wedding arrangements for the next couple of months oh it would be great to be there but hopefully they will have it filmed so we get to see it. this is how i feel anyway what about you lot?

Re: Quietness and slowing down
I've been somewhat aware of this for a while. Well, more so the few hours before you come online. Someone PM'd me recently about it even. The few hours before you come online are completely dead. That should be late Australian prime time. Like you said, real life is one of the issues. School is back in for many people, so they do not have as much time to play. US students who were off for the summer will not be logging in during the EU hours any more. Those are a few of the variables.
The only cure is to recruit, recruit, recruit. We picked some new Squires recently, but they were mostly prime time US players. We need more squire coverage for Aus/EU times.
Prime time is pretty solid. It has gotten quieter recently too, but it is still pretty good. We should make EU/Aus recruiting a priority again.

Re: Quietness and slowing down
I agree, it has indeed slowed down lately.. unfortunately this is a time of year that most of our members will be busy with other things...
I will do all I can to be on as much as possible.. but with the wedding getting closer (as Mrs mentioned) I will need to put more and more time into it.
Beau has the right idea.. we need to put a firm emphasis on recruiting!

I may be a mere cavalry man, but I must point out that not all recruits will go on team speak either because they might not know about it, know how to download it, or simply are not willing. So if you might want to talk to new recruits about that when or before they join.

Re: Quietness and slowing down
oh i am so glad its not just me that's noticed, I was beginning to think it was just me, i have recruited during my daytime but as of yet none of them have been from my part of the world but i will hopefully get some people from our side of the world there can't be just me Mr Tech and Sarg who play from our side.

I'd settle for that quality of player over quantity anytime though

Re: Quietness and slowing down
The school year just started back up in the US (kids go to school, parents schedule gets sucked into taxi duty, etc.).
I've been out of state the last week (read: away from my desktop with all the bells and whistles) but will return the the first weekend in September.

Re: Quietness and slowing down
From the perspective of Aussie Uni students we are in around Week 7 by this point so for the next 6 to 8 weeks it is busy assessment and exam time. That plus my power supply in my computer dying (great timing for that) has kept me away for a while. I installed gw2 on my crappy laptop just to log in and get daily rewards.

Re: Quietness and slowing down
Ditto - power supply died and using laptop.... makes me wonder if haxors are attacking power supplies across the world (i.e. test run for bigger target). Damm, that started as a joke and now I've become paranoid.
