Juliep/Melody
Including Seamon, I've heard several complaints from people who do not wish to be on Teamspeak or in the same channel on Teamspeak as Melody. Apparently she is getting under Michael's skin again too. She tends to latch on to Michael.
I'm not sure what to do about her. I did not think she was as bad Nytri, but it seems now that she is causing the same distress in Teamspeak. It is not healthy for our Teamspeak community to have someone who is making other members not want to be there.
I think we should have another chat with her. Maybe we could nominate Michael to talk to her since she likes him the best??? That could also may be a problem since he is getting fed up with her.
{Could be test for his ability to handle things as squire? I do think Michael should be Squire. I am aware of his temper issues. This Juliep issue exacerbates it. His interactions with other people have been better as far as i can tell.}
If she does not improve soon, I think we will have to ask her to leave.

Here is a screenshot of a conversation between Geoff and Steely about the situation. This was the most recent thing brought to my attention.

Re: Juliep/Melody
I have only been on teamspeak a few times while Juliep/Melody has been in teamspeak and she seems to talk away, so much so that others struggle to get a word in at times. Apart from that, I rarely ever hear of any complaints about her but if others are saying that she is causing problems then I think you are right, Beau. I also think that it would be in her best interest getting someone closer to her to have a chat with her so it doesn't seem as confrontational, but I personally don't think that Michael would be the best person. Taking into consideration what you have said about Michael becoming annoyed and the screenshot from last night, I think this would cause further issues as I think both would be on edge regarding confrontation.
Although it would be good to see how Michael would handle the situation while he is being considered for the post as squire?

Re: Juliep/Melody
Must be a time zone thing as I have never heard any complaints or issues with her. but then I have not been on much when she is on. I have seen and heard her on there she is a bit loud and confident but cant say she is a problem in all honesty I normally try and go into a channel with those I am grouped up with. but understand that if she is causing a problem then yup talk then walk

Re: Juliep/Melody
Although having Michael 'tested' seems a good idea.. I do not think it should be with this particular situation.
I am happy to talk to her as I have before...
I won't be back until Sunday evening though so I won't be able to do anything goes atm.
I had hoped things would calm down and she would get the hint that we won't tolerate this soft of thing...
How long do we keep giving her warnings and talking to?

Re: Juliep/Melody
I agree she needs to be talked to. I have let her go on forever and I keep in mind she's young and its her first time playing online with other ppl to talk to. However it it would be good for her to kind of learn some rules of he road so to speak.

Re: Juliep/Melody
my input about her is that she is lonely and is wanting guildies to game with. maxie was willing to game with her around guild wars 2. however i have partied up with her and there was no issue at all that i heard.
but yes there is an issue with the non stop talking about random things. she doesnt talk or ramble on about things during dungeons and fractals that i have ran with her. its simply because she is bored.

Re: Juliep/Melody
I think this needs to be followed up on... I have noticed and been told that several people block her, ignore her and even go to separate channels to avoid her.
How long do we keep this going?

She has not seemed as bad to me lately, but I do think some people still avoid her. She was a bit much at guild missions. I was going to say something about the same time you whispered her.

Re: Juliep/Melody
She was over the top during GMs and I asked her several times in TS to keep it down, when that didn't work.. I whispered her, she was very quick to apologize but also said she can't help it and it will always come back again.
Her comment about 'I am a natural leader' after completing save our supplies kinda irritated me a bit... she only filled the channel with useless chatter.
I believe I will try talking to her again as I think she seems to be lapsing back into her 'ways'

I tend to move channel or come of teamspeak myself when she is on there as I must confess not many people get on my nerves(works in customer service) but to me she is a bit over the top.

Re: Juliep/Melody
I think it`s time that we all stop beating about the bush on this subject,The real answer that everyone one is looking for is do we kick her from the guild or do we all let this go on and on so we start to lose members and also end up with a lot of people arguing in teamspeak when julie comes on,as you said Kara how long are we all going to debate this subject.

She has been talked to about this several times from my understanding. I believe she has had all her chances to correct the issue at hand.

Re: Juliep/Melody
Michael (Maxie) has given me a bit of a different perspective on the Melody issue. Seamon has taken the right tactic with her, and Michael has as well (after some soul searching). Despite her driving us nuts sometimes, all she needs is a firm handling. Do not hide from her or block her. Tell her directly when she is being annoying. Let us try this out for a while.
I do not want other people to avoid Teamspeak because of her, but if you hear someone complain, let them know how to handle her. She does not seem to digest subtle hints or passive aggressive behavior. You have to be direct with her.

Re: Juliep/Melody
I 100% agree, I do not want to kick her out.. she is a sweet girl and she just needs a firm hand to guide her.
Mel is very young, and I believe she is quite sheltered as well.
Don't be rude, don't be an arse.. but be firm with her.
I hope that with everyone working together with her she will settle into a good place with AoL
