Astrrum

I just got on and saw that Astrum left the guild without putting anything on the forum, I hope that he didn't get hacked.

Oh dear! That does sound strange.

only thing I can think of is astrum and dax had a bit of a disagreement did not think it was a major one, but I did start to cap screen incase it got out of hand but never did.

I want this kept confidential until we sort this out. I'm not one for keeping secrets, but I do not take sharing others e-mail lightly. However, this does need to be brought to everyone's attention.

I wrote to Astrum to see why he left. This is what he wrote back to me.



I wrote him back to see if he would be willing to give me more information. We tolerate a lot on teamspeak. Sex/sexuality are fair game (in the gutter). But, one thing we should never tolerate is denigrating any person or group of people. This is something that has been in our guild charter from the very beginning.

If you hear this type of conversation, you need to put a stop to it.

PS. Geoff took a stab at editing the Guild Charter. We need to take a look at that and finish updating it. Make it good and get everyone to read it again

OK... I forgot to reread the post above. Apparently, this is the conversation that Mr. Tech screenshot. Is there more of that screen shot?

We've had some complaints about Dax before. He can be very argumentative.

after looking at this in hindsight should have done something at the time, I never noticed Astrums comment "seriously? That's kind of disrespectful"  but looking at the bottom of these screen caps dax was bang out of order and had i seen it at the time would have said something, just as i capped that last screen i switched to map chat to do daily sorry that's all i got. as far as i was aware it was a convo with dark about currency and how low the wages are there he at no time seemed offended by anyones comments.

Looking this over, I think Astrum may have just been a bit overly sensitive about this topic. I don't really see anything here that would have triggered me to see red flags, but I guess I'm not very sensitive sometimes. Some of the comments are insensitive to the plight of people in poor counties, but I don't see anything really inflammatory. This must just be an issue that Astrum feels strongly about.

That being said. Dax has gotten under other peoples skins before as well. I think he has been avoiding teamspeak because of this. I have not heard him on Teamspeak much lately.
