Ideas for next Contest Giveaway!

So i will be handling the next giveaway. Please post ideas for possible contest.

I have an Endless Mystery Tonic (forest)

and a Shadow Abyss Dye

They were both anonymous donations.  I've been hanging on to them for contests.  They could be prizes.  

How do we want to give them away?  Raffle?

Something to do with HoT would be nice. HoT inspired fanfic kinda thing maybe?
I'd personally go with a "What happened to Rytlock?" Story myself.

Maybe some HoT inspired art, or music for those with ingame instruments

In saying that, Halloween is also around the corner, could do something Halloween related

I think something lore based would be to easy a quick wiki check and i have the answer.Same goes if i do some sort of Junk items scavenger hunt.So im thinking a series of screenshots i go to 3-5 locations take screenshots and you copy them.Basically what beau recently did but instead of one single screenshot i will do a few of them.Or i can set my status to offline go hide somewhere and give a riddle to where im hiding first person to find me wins.

For the halloween idea what do you have in mind?

Or we can do a Raffle so everyone has a equal oppurtunity.

You need to ensure it's not one sided I was thinking riddles involving GW lore issues being that not everyone has as much knowledge as others, while a raffle is fair and equal we always have raffles, and Oldmate as for your story suggestion not everyone is gifted in the way of the word, and also writing pages and pages of text can be a major turn off for some

Think a raffle would be a great idea Whitehawk,willing to put something up for the raffle if thats ok.

Raffles are boring and they hardly engage the players. IMO we use Raffles too much.
Maybe run a game show based on GW questions?

Maybe have a pool of 10-15 questions, people running it ask an entrant a set number (say 3 to 5). Anyone who gets all 3, or 4-5 right moves on to the next round.

With that we can run it 24 hours a day between a team of officers asking the questions and ask the questions when the player is online.

Anything based on knowledge of the game needs to be excluded, it offers unfair advantage to those who have been playing longer than some others.

Chance is the only fair option available to us... our lotteries and raffles have been chosen for a reason.

We could probably do trivia for small giveaways.  But, I don't like the idea for large prizes.  Kinda like my version of hide and seek.  Only a few people will even bother to look, but the effort pays off.  A trivia game could be a fun quick giveaway for 5-10 gold.  But, for large prizes a boring old raffle is the most fair option.  Unless, someone can think of something else.

Feel free to do spontaneous small prizes anytime.  Liven things up a bit.

Ok raffle it is. do we want a buy in? if so what should we set the price and how many numbers does each person get?

I thought your hide and seek was good Beau, it was fun looking for you, all members can participate in that event. raffles are also good as is trivia, Trivia would be best done before or after guild missions when most members are on, or pick another day and making a post stating what day and time it would take place etc.

Buy-ins help pay for small prizes so that officers aren't always shelling out their own gold for give-aways.

Yeah loto draw raffle is always the fairest way to go imo

still like the idea of Raffles,Trivia as for hide and seek you can select groups of people who are on line of course and have them find you depending on what level they are and go hide in the area that is obtainable so everyone even the new members can join in.

Hey Everyone i know ive been on GW1 alot lately but im still willing to do the raffle if we could set a buy in amount and a number limit we can get this show on the road!
