Rank Specifics

Just a outine let me know what you all think,  (lowest to highest)
1. A new member who has just joined.

2.  Has signed up for boards and possible mumble.  

3.  active member regularly checks forum, joins for events and reps most (almost all) of the time.

4.  active chatter, helpful, kind of like a non-com in the military

5.  long time member, not really officer type but friendly etc.  (same permissions as #4, but higher rank)

6.  officer specific job, organize events, 100% rep (unless doing guild missions with other guilds or something similar)

7.  high officer, 1-3 people who are basically leaders without the glory

8.  Leader does whatever needs doing.


Let me know what you think, feel free to make edits and we'll post a cleaner version on the boards sometime this week.

Yeha I'm OK with the revamp... What will happen to that "Legendary" title, though? I don't see it mentionned here.

Seems good to me. I agree with Yuri though, that legendary rank should stay.

If you all want to keep the legendary rank that's fine with me, I never liked it for a couple of reasons.

Could be called something else or even disappear as far as i'm concerned... Just pointed it out as I thought maybe it was missed out. Could be merged to Long Time Member for example, although the description does not really fit exactly... Or could be a specific one too like we have right now, doesn't really bother me one way or another.

In its current state, it's not that I don't like it but it's just not well defined or applied... For example, in my eyes, Flynx would qualify easily to be "Legendary"... But because he decided to play on he's got another rank. Same goes for most of the officers who were around in GW1... Or even Ellory who pops up from time to time...

I mean we could always just do the practical thing and boot those we know never come on or aren't really a part of the guild anymore, then the rest like kiera be given a suitable rank.

î gotta agree with logan.... those multibel persons who dont anymore even bother log to v( dayle,jack for example) or theyre jsut every time when theyre on presenting ofr other guild.... das boot !

i agree there is no need for ingame special rank for old members .. people should be popular for some reason better then a rank.

Who's taking care of this by the way? Are we keeping some of the names we're using now or just revamping everything?

If we start making ranks for different types of officers, such as PvP officers - put me into that PvP rank. I'd rather be demoted from Imperator anyway: I don't think I'll be on very much over the summer, but we'll see - my plans might change.

ok I'm gonna finalize this tomorrow or monday, I'll combine zero's stuff with mine, and put some officer specification in there. let me know if any of you want a specific spec. would like someone to take charge of guild missions if we have any volunteers.

I just took it that Ally was outside the structure.

OK... Now that's set we have to go through the list and assign ranks to people...

I've updated the ranks and we can now change them around. I'll make a few changes and if anyone sees anything else that needs to be done, let me know or just do it yourself

One thing I want to focus on is members (not allies) on different servers. I know worf's reasons but has anyone talked to any of the others about it? Let me know and I'll message the rest of them.

Ratche, I assume you mean encouraging, if not enforcing, that members be on the same server? If so, I totally agree with that.

Well if they are not on the same server shouldn't they be allies? What do you all think, are they really members if they are not on blackgate?

Also I've not noticed any of them repping.

Not sure if they should be allies... I thought the "Ally" rank was for members from sister guilds like Liars, not free electrons.

That's why I asked, if they are trying to (pr plan on)come here that is one thing, but if they are not planning on coming to backgate and they never rep, then that's what I'm talking about.

I think we should still have the Ally rank. The guild cap is high enough. True, it may make us depressed in our latent hours to see 14/~~~ online when, in reality, only three members are representing and the rest are Allys; but, it's a great thing to keep the alliance relatively intact so that we may ask for assistance from them and vice versa (and hopefully join as an alliance if that's an option in the future).
To compromise on the inactivity of Ally members, I think if we have little clue of who an Ally is... it should be fine to kick them: if they have our alliance's connections, they'll find a way back in if they so desire.

Say, can you move the WINE back up to #5 then. Longggggggg time member, dont really care if you want me to officiate or not, but at least let me keep the bank clean as I have been sort of doing. Lol.

Demote me to Officer please! I'm not on as much as I should be for a Tribune - getting busy this summer... :O
