In Singapore Empty In Singapore

I think most of you know I'll be spending the week in Singapore. It's my second day here but I still cannot connect to the game (Can't connect to login server) so it looks like I might be out until I get back h ome in 5 or 6 days.

Also, for the singaporeans in AoL, I went out last night to a hawker center and tried Mee Goreng, Nasi Goreng, Roti Jon, Mutton soup (forgot the local name), banana parota and some local milk tea with high level of sugar and ginger.

So far, anything goreng kinda sucks... the rest was nice. I'm planning on trying Laksa and spicy crab before leaving if I can.

Yes I went to Clarke. It's very good for bars/pubs and they have Jumbo that supposedly serve good spicy crab. It's also much better than the "Bayfront" area in my opinion... I had to shell out 20SGD (16USD) for a pint of beer over there while Clarke is around 10SGD.

While in Singapore I tried "Kaya" which I had never heard of before... It's some kind of coconut jam and usually served on butter toasts it's pretty tasty and not TOO sweet. It's like staple food around Singapore and almost every tea/coffee shop will have that on its menu.

Drinks are super sweet though... Milk Tea was probably the worst. I don't get why they put so much sugar in it. I usually like my milk tea for tea time, but while there I would order other things because it's still too sweet even ordered with "less sugar". Lime juice was a pretty good replacement.

If you ever go there, you'd better make sure in advance you know the different style of coffee... even for simple coffee, there is "Kopi O", "Kopi C", etc... one is black coffee, other is coffee with milk, other is coffee with milk and sugar... Just the letter changes and there's no description of what it is. Even the locals I was with were not sure...

I also tried Malay food that was pretty good... Only thing is I'm not really used to eat that everyday and I kind of got bored of it by the end of my stay. Somehow everything is curry/spicy/sour~ish... Chinese food was so-so and kind of expensive.
