AoL and what should it look like

This is an important issue so I want all to speak thier mind. Over a long period of time ive managed to invite a vast amount of ppl into Aol, some have been with the guild for a long time , but there is the idea that having ppl on the roster that have not played in months is not really doning much for us...they are sort of dead accounts.

So the question I put to you is..Except for the ppl that ive put on the do not kick list. should we move out the ones that have not played in a long time or move ppl out as we get new ones in?

To be honest i believe that those over 1 month in age should be kicked, and from my point of view, its like this, if people come in and see lots of people that arent ever on, then they are like "oh, i dont have to get on often no one else is."

A month sounds good, but if it's too short you could make it two. The way I see it if someone is gone this long without giving any notice then they are most likely gone anyway, boot em.

for me i dont mind seeing the " dead acounts " but i understand most people see it as inactive guild , the way i see it its just a matter of looks and numbers

the guild as a limit of 100 , if we recruit fast enoph, we can have everyone with less then 1 month inactive , i think that should be our goal, instead of kicking the inactives one we have now.

recruiting is as hard as it is , i dont think we can afford to kick

Ive always let the officers play the game as they want to, ive made a effort to not be some kond of glory loving guild leader, and as such I listen to all. If I do take a axe to the guild, will the officers make a effort to build it back up, that is my question on this issue.

make an effort? yes i will, garuntee results? that i can not.

tho i was talking to andy, do yall realize that we are the only guild in the alliance with over 20 people?

its impossible to make any promisses of results, the majority of ppl that you will invite into the guild will leave, but some will stay, that is why it is a hard thing to do. Also lets be realistic about this, to get back up to the number of accounts we have now it will take a daily effort by the officers untill I would say around August 2008. I put in about 10 to 12 hrs a week looking for new ppl for the guild.

If you say smaller is better because more of the guild is active than we could do that no prob, but before we take any action id like to hear from some of the other officers.

Well I have 10k saved for inviting members and i believe like what i did with my computer we should reboot AoL xD mayb drop down to about 40-50 members and rebuild, also people look for guilds that are closely connected

in that case , if kicking the inactive means that all officer will make a effort to recruit more , build a active guild , then im all for it.

Sry havn't posted before this...been fairly busy over the past month or so...I'll do what i can to help recruit people and will definitely do my best to help peeps in the game as i can.

So how about we take a vote among officers? A kick of people who hve been away for a certain amount of time and a promise made to recruit to replace the lost members.

A vote is not really needed on this. All are for the idea if we work over time to build the guild back up again. Ive made a annoncement for all menbers who are going to go inacive to let me know or post in the forum, we will leave it there for a short time and then make a announcement telling the members of our plans.

im gowing to hold off on the guild purge. It is a good idea, but we need the officer corps to be on-line and rebuilding the guild to make it work. In my time zone its been only me, Divinity and Qordis that are really activily playing. Neo and others have said that they have real liife to take care of..jobs ..kids..etc and ppl should focus on that, this game is only a hobby.

I cant tho take a axe to the guild without knowing that there is the foundation to build the guild back up, so I think we should talk abut this more.
