Free Stuff and Discounts

Okay. This has been brought up before but I am seeing it often in ally chat no joke

1. Free stuff is only offered.
So please don't ask for free stuff in alliance chat. Even if its not worth that much, dun ask if you can have it for free. If the person giving or selling to you says take it THEN you can take it.

2. Discounts.
Just because you're in an alliance with very friendly and nice people doesn't mean that there are "discounts" or "alliance prices". Unless it is offered to you by the ally who is selling. Some people are generous and will give it to you for free or a small discount. Just don't ask for it please

i agree on this 100% it is seeming to be a big issue lately and coming up often. I always give stuff away for free if i have them or if its worth something i usually sell for a bit less. However once a price has been given out there should be no asking for a discount even if its only 300g.

Yeah really, try this in real life. Go to a store and ask for a discount, you arent getting a thing.

Yes it may work in some spots (i know a few places ) but if i try to haggle in the local supermarket here they'll just look at me and tell me to get lost. Now i won't be so rude to alliance members, but perhaps the silence these demands get should be interpreted right, instead of repeating the question.

Yea.. I witnessed this firsthand in the gh the other day. Kuv was gonna sell some tomes to someone in boom. They were talking about a price. Kuv said he didnt give alliance discounts, then the other person said "lol bye" as if he was expecting to get cheaper stuff. After I said to the boom person "you shouldnt expect discounts from anyone." All he said was "It's only 800g"... if thats how you feel.. that its *only* 800gold.. then why wouldnt you just pay it? Anyway, theres my 2 cents on the topic lol

I agree completely. And, Gods, couldn't have said it better myself if I'd tried. Yes, it's nice when we get free things but we also have to notice that it's not a constant.
Our allies are usually our friends, and because of such, they might be friendly at times; but also, everyone has goals on this game, whether or not they make them known.

If things like this aren't obvious to the perpetrator already, chances are that this thread is as pointless as the previous ones. People who don't engage in this type of behavior don't pick it up by reading a forum thread.

Agree 100 percent this topic has also been restaed by me in alliance leaders forum. I hate that. And i completely agree with them. Cheap items can be sold for free but all depends on seller. If u don't like price...I got 3 words for ya "Buy somewhere else"

i've gotten my share of free stuff (would like more lol) but have paid prices for things i've needed at whatever someone wanted for it. me getting the amber chunks for my kurz armor was very pricey lol because i'm poor. but yeah i'm nice to give u a discount but don't expect it all the time because sometimes i can go to la and get more for it. sorry if this is off topic a little btw

I likely wasn't the only one noticing just how much begging occured over a few hours last night in AC, along with a load of other rubbish.

What it comes down to imo, is that begging works. I've seen people get the entire 250 sup. char carvings, as one example.. all for free.. from nothing other than contiually begging in ally chat ( can i have a few? anyone has a 2-3 to spare? )

If people stopped giving out to beggars, it would cut down or stop. But however generous you might feel by giving out things to 'new' players, you're only encouraging the lazy ones by giving free stuff to these people.
