Hey! Name's Anne

Newbie, here. I'm Anne, and I've been playing Guild Wars since 2005 (although there are chunks of time GW-less since then). I'm a Fine Arts student, and since my start at college, it's been difficult to fit in any gaming, but hopefully I'm going to find a place for GW in a normal, casual routine again.

I've loved Guild Wars since its release, and romped through the game with highschool friends a lot back in '06-'08. Mostly just simple RA and AB, along with FoW and simple PvE shenanigans. My mains are Elementalist and Mesmer, although I have many PvE characters.

Other than GW, I love lots of nerdy things, like watching movies, reading comics, playing games, history, and drawing. My non-nerdy passion is horseback-riding, which tops basically everything except art.

And that's basically I can really describe about me right off the bat! I look forward to being a part of an active GW community again!

Haha, oh goodness no. XD My icon is by the famous art nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha. I just used the same icon as my Steam account. XD

As for my work, here's some of my own pieces that I've done for school assignments, as well as a few I did just for fun. I know the photos of the large pieces suck, but when art is done for school, they make us complete it on very large paper. o_O;

Wow, your drawings are pretty nice... Except, I have to admit, something about the femail character of your second one kinda disturbs me... And since when history, drawing and watching movies are nerdy?

I enjoy reading comics as well... Which ones are you reading?

Thanks for such a warm welcome, as well as compliments on my artwork! That always starts the day off well, haha.

As for comics I read, I'm mostly a DC person, and Batman is my all-time favorite hero. I've read pretty much all the essential Batman graphic novels (my favorite being 'Long Halloween') and am currently beginning Superman For All Seasons. Also on the third volume of Scott Pilgrim just for the sake of reading it before seeing the movie.

So yeah, DC is my game. Loved all the animated series when I was a child, especially. So I guess I'm still just a big kid. XD

Oh, and by the way, Naix, I love your signature picture, haha. "Shop smart, shop... S-Mart!"

and you will find a lot of us are Big Kids here ..not all but I know I am.

Loved Long Halloween too... But I think that was the only Loeb's work I liked... Read Superman For All Seasons and Spider-man:Blue but they were disappointing.

I'm just finishing Immortal Iron Fist Omnibus and it was quite a good read... I usually particularly like Frank Miller stuff, try picking the complete Sin City if you haven't already.
