Alliance Party-Week: Screenshot Contest :D

Alliance Screenshot Contest Wednesday 9th - Sunday 20th of March


Theme: Welcome to my (our) house, Alliance!


Have you or your guildies chosen a house or otherplace to live in Guild Wars? (Yes!! I am serious! Everyone should have picked a house in GW ö_Ö)

Not yet? Well,now is a good time to do so! Show your house/home and Invite your alliance mates there, to party, for a dinner or just to make a mess ;D

Interpret this your way and snap a nice screenie where you show your house to alliance! It can be a snap of the house itself, with or without your coolest char posing in it, or group picture of you and your friends/guildies posing at your yard. You can also ask actors/actresses from the alliance to pose with you for your screenie. I am sure there are plenty of willing to pose for the fame of this forum. xD

And also this time, you can add maximum 40 words ministory along the picture

Instructions How to join:

- Upload your picture with known upload service, for example Imageshack http://imageshack.us/ or your Photobucket account http://photobucket.com/ etc.

- Send a private message via the forum to me (hennu) where you give the link to your screenshot. If you are really in hurry and upload services do not work for you, send it in email to me ( katyanightflame (at) hotmail.com ) and don't forget to follow these next steps too:

- In the message, add a Screenshot caption text (ministory, sentence, title etc) maximum 40 words. (It can be title + ministory too)

- Provide your ingame name, forum name and guild name [tag] along with your message.

- You can join as solo participant or as a team.

- Please No photoshopping to the actual picture! This contest is for pure, clean Guild Wars screenshots. So this time, don't write on the picture. You can crop edges of course.

- No entrance fee's! Its more than a payment that you have to read these long instructions!!! ;D ;D ;D

Picture Sending time Ends Thursday 17th of March, 9 pm GMT/5 pm EST, after this no more pictures are accepted. (Time stamp in emails/messages counts for getting in then)

~1h later picture-links are posted to forum and voting can start.

Voting happens on forum. In same topic as screenshots will be posted.

Voting system:
Give 2 points to the screenshot you like most.
Give 1 point to the screenshot you like second most.
Don't vote your own picture please. (lol)
Please don't edit your voted points afterwards.

After voting has ended and points have been counted carefully its reward time! (1-2h from that) around 9 GMT pm Sunday

woah that's a lot of fireworks!
And I am super excited for this contest Hennu!

Whoa..Eek!!!! Had to clear eyes and see if I had actually typoed an extra Zero there somewhere, so its 100 crates of fireworks and not 10 for example :D.. Cuz i doubt A-net would loan me those missing crates on the final moment (Or, i cant mobster them fast enough, you know.)

But yeah, Im excited too, this time there is more time for people to participate!! I courage everyone to consider joining , especially those that missed it in past due to bad online times, and basically contest being very short. Also voting time is longer now too.. That will be the exciting race till the end :D

um hennu I SUCK when it comes to image uploading sites i don't like dealing with them. any chance i could just post the Pic here?

Also Hennu I feel that the contestants aren't motivated to vote sence they know it's just helping out their opponents so perhaps you make it a rule for them to vote? Maybe threaten them with disqualification? or a night with me??? ^.^

Hi! During path of SScontest, tested both ways in past Chose to go with this to have relaxed-nonserious contest: Voting is free will, all contestant are free to decide if they want to use their vote or not, making it mandatory and threat disqualification would be difficult and babysitting-type-of watching who votes and who not (and what if someone was e.g ill and couldn't vote -poof flies the picture- xD). There should be enough non-contestant voters around in this forum to make the contest exciting, just spread the word! . So no recuse/force-vote, just vote if you see lovely screenshot or ur conscience tells so!
