This weekend 8/27-8/29

Proactive posting here based on the latest path of Irene (intellicast.com, wunderground.com, and weather.com) my nook here in Vermont is looking to be smacked around a bit after it kicks the snot out of Connecticut (sorry Akroma and Bruno). Not to mention they're talking the chance of severe wind shears because we're going to have a 20-degree drop in temp due to the storm.
What that means is odds are exceptionally high I'll lose power at some point because wind + trees + hard rain = downed lines. If power goes out, lol it will be a while before we come back up because our infrastructure is not like it is in *coughs* more civilized areas.
With that said, if I'm not on Sunday I'd like for those who are online to coordinate the Guild meeting for 1pm EST same as we always do please. Decide amongst yourselves based on who is there as to who will lead the meeting, etc etc.
It most likely won't come to my being offline for any length of time, but I want you all to be aware as to WHY if I'm not on.

Please note our electric company (cvps) has posted on their website "While all utilities are diligently preparing for the storm, customers should prepare for the possibility of being without power for several days, possibly even more, should the storm take a track for the worse." so I may transfer the guild prior to Sunday as the current path has the "eye" tracking just to the right of my town and I'd rather have someone holding the guild and alliance that can access GW (not that I expect anything horrible to happen in either guild or alliance) just for my own peace of mind.

If it all turns into nothing and I dont lose power, then the guild will be restored to me on monday/tuesday, otherwise the chosen one will hold and run things with both guild and alliance until I AM back online.

Please be safe! Get some water saved up. 2 liter bottles work good. If all else fails fill the tub! Hopefully it will just pass by. i didnt realize it was that bad! No worries about the meeting we will get it covered. Most importantly be safe!

i hope its not so bad when it passes by there...and yes buy alot alot alot aloooooooot of water and food! be safe

My friend just posted a picture of a Target in Harlem where the shelves are empty no water!!! Did I mention if you have a Britta filter you can just take water from the tub or a bucket (with plastic wrap over the top to keep it cleaner) then pour it into the filter! clean water for weeks!
