Things to do to as a group

There are the obvious things like Zaishen Elite, Fow, Uw, DoA, Urgoz, Mallyx, etc. We've also touched based on some pvp things, which is harder to get together in my opinion. We definately have people out there interested in doing TA, AB, etc.

How about we start getting groups together for treasure hunting through nightfall ? I've also had several ppl ask about more DoA, Urgoz, Mallyx, Slavers and things like that. I was holding those type of events every sunday, it was working out really well..dont know why i slipped up on that. We'll try to do something spiffy around 2pm EST each sunday at the bare minimum. (Which also should land perfectly with the guild/alliance get together times for the weekends, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm)

I'm also gathering more and more support from people holding their own guild/alliance meetings/get togethers - especially if i'm not online. People have taken it upon themselves to have one, and I hope more follow along. Its really healthy for each of the guilds members and officers to branch out - better than alliance chat in my opinion by far.

We also seem to be picking up more and more ppl interested in HM groups now a days, missions and vanq.

If you hit that ol' brick wall of nothing to do and you've seen and done it all...starting to get bored...then you should try not being an idiot lol - there is far far more to do in GW than anybody has ever had time to accomplish.

Create a new prof you have not played yet
Start making NEW friends and stop being an unsocial cave troll
Teach a noobie in the guild or alliance
Update some hero builds, and or give them some runes, insignias and weapons
If you do alot of pve, look into pve-only title skills - like kurzick, norn, etc.
Any of the things I mentioned before this list in the paragraphs above

Nobody should never be "bored" because there is always alot to do

Thank you! This so needed to be said. I'm also tired of hearing, "I'm bored." How're you bored? There's so much to do and I doubt you've done it all. /agree If you're so bored help out others! Bring a sense of community to your own guild.

Thank You! Totally agree with both of you. This game is as fun as you make it, and, with the multitudes of players in the guild/alliance that haven't done everything, there is a good chance there is something out there to keep your mind occupied.

Ask Around! It is the best way to meet and greet players you haven't gotten to know. And I can guarantee that there is someone out there for you (to do whatever with, )


I like to PvP so if you want that, I am game. Along with Elite Mission/areas.

I've been interested in doing Urgoz's warren but i just havent gotten around to asking anyone.

Well ask away! ^^) I just got Factions so maybe I'll be able to go soon. >_< I'm stuck in some shrine already...I can't seem to find any quests. But yeah! People just need to lighten up a hair and say hello. We got a lot of shy people in AoL and I've been trying to join them when they need help or are doing things together just to meet them. I think people just need that little extra nudge! A shove wouldn't hurt either sometimes! It's a good thing tony has some muscles!

Perhaps we should have a guild calender that's what my old one did to organize events. We'd put them on a displayable calender and show times as well. Not only could we automatically get things up and rolling but it would remove the burden of having to sit there for long periods of time and have people finish their quests to come. We have a higher chance of participation if we do things this way, gauranteed. I hear lots of things want to go on; the only way to sort things out other than on the fly runs would be to set times for each one. It's fair, impartial.

Yeah, if we don't do Urgoz, The Deep, DoA, or Slavers' this weekend, I'm going to explode. I have been wanting to do one of those again for A WHILE. Slavers' isn't quite as fun as the others, but still a good time. I want to do one if not a few of them this weekend. We need to get some groups together to do them. If Novus and Lei come, we already have our HB monks.

I have sunday off!! Holy good god the world is gonna end!!! Yay! Let's do something on sunday! Preferably not from eotn ^^'; Cuz i dont have it!

A scavenger hunt is a good idea, Mighty, but I think a lot of people want to try and do the most elite parts of the game, atm. I know I still want to do the Deep and DoA, seeing as how I've never finished either of them.

yeah, I think the scavenger hunt would be something more along the lines of an annual alliance event... which does sound fun!

We are wanting to do more of the elite missions.

I vote for DoA, simple because I have not beaten EoTN and I'm stuck in some monastary area in Factions.

Ummm Agrias, I can help you in Factions, since you just got it and I believe I am beasty at that campaign. And I have to say, DoA Drops some great stuff, and it is excellent for raising Lightbringers.

(oh and Agrias, If you need EoTN, I need to finish some books.. Perfect opportunity!)

Yeah, I'm stuck on Asura and Vanguard. This Vanguard mission I'm on is very hard. You have to split into two groups Charr and you and attack some kind of military installation.

Yeah, assault on the stronghold... NM is easy, I'll do it with ya..

OK mighty, LoL You get on that, and you might want to do this for me too. (I will supply some of the prize money if you do this) Have people collect rubies and saphires so that I can get my vabbian armor. I have been saving money for like a month and am getting excited about getting it.

Yeah, it would be a good way to raise guild socializing if maybe you required teams to be involved... with teams of 2 or 3 doing the scavenger hunt...

well, 4v4 would be ideal as practice {maybe TA Tryouts...} and I would see 4v4 as being more strategy based than 5v5...

oh... SHHHHH I didn't mention TA Tryouts....

As far as money, make each team pay 1k or 2k... (Or maybe make it 4k a Team)
At 4 ppl a team, that would make it like 250g-1k a person.. which is easily attainable and would leave some large prize money...

I'm not sure what you mean by independent teams though.

ok, so we were on the right page with the independent teams thing. Thats what I was thinking too....

So I wanted to start the threads so we can have a Tournament thread to get the word out (with rules and other important info.) , and a thread to arrange teams... so anyone who is looking for a team can find people easier, and so that formed teams can post team names, members, battle cry, etc...

Hmm. I'll reveal my mental quandaries at another time. :] But, it has nothing to do with mugging them. Although, that might be fun in and of itself.

O.o, I saw "free" and "gold" and skipped the rest of the replies.

My old guild for silkroad online had a competition that was meant to boost forum activity and game activity. Someone with gold, would post a picture of a certain landmark or intriguing location in the game and the first person to pm the person and tell them the exact location was given the loot. They sometimes put up 5 at a time and offered 5M gold which would be like 5-7K in guild wars.
