Thanks to Gmaw of BOOM who clued her Guild onto it, there's another option on the table for voice & text.

It's called GSC and their website can be found here http://getgsc.com/

Both BOOM and AoL have setup camps on it for testing, poking around to see whats what, general curiosity on how something that seems too good to be true doesn't have a hook anywhere Suspect

I'm leaning towards if there's no catch we've all missed, come WvW time on Blackgate Server this could be handy as a created server on the service can hold up to 200 folks all working towards the common goal of wiping out the other two servers Twisted Evil

If you're interested in joining on to poke around yourself, please do, the more putting this service through its paces the better.

THAT is adorable! See?? now if only all virus hacking whatevers would put pictures like that on our computers!

LOL but seriously, if anyone finds any security issues with GSC please do sing out. We've gone over their ToS, their privacy policy, user agreement, as well as following the chain to their parent company... and haven't found a loophole yet. With everyone watching how the program performs, if it's solid enough we may have our answer for massive party-ups that dont rely on authenticating everyone and their brother on traditional pay voice servers for WvW within Blackgate.

Yes Is does seem to good to be true, but we have had a couple of computer(geeks) please dont tell them I said that,, look it over and it all seems on the up and up. AoL and BOOM have linked the 2 created servers to eachother and that makes for a quick voice communication, another feature is MSN type chat to anyone on friends list inside or outside of the voice server. Other guilds going into GW2 just need 1 person to create the server, and members then joined the Named server. We then link that server to the others. Fingers are crossed. HaHaHa!!!

AoL had quite a few on tonight over on ours, and didn't notice any performance issues O.o maybe this WILL be the next bag of cheetos!

I'll look into it as soon as the stress test is over. I'm not as much of a tech nerd/computer geek as some but i usually figure things out as I fiddle with em. As far as AoL and booms servers go are yourGuild tags your server names, or have you used the whole guild name and tag?

Bummer*sigh* Set it up and had it all ready to go, then 2 bluescreen crashes. Guess that means GSC is probably a no go for me. Sad

One thing to note: currently the in-game text chat overlay feature only works with 32 bit Operating Systems. And I can assure you that GSC is ok, I've had the thing on my computer for over a year (not using it, but if it was some kind of malware it wouldn't matter if I used it or not) and I've had no issues with it, it doesn't show up in anti virus scans, and I haven't had any random credit card purchases. My only problem with it is that it doesn't have as cool of a name as Dolby Axon.
