I have been thinking about the forum and came to this

To plan events with our gw1 ally friends on gw2 is almost useless not 100 % but it will be hard to do something with them.

So it might be a good idea to change the forum permissions to give more places for the aol people and less for public and ally members

Still didnt plan the new structure but i think this is the direction we need to go

Also to open the recruiting forum again, i had some emails from people wanting to join aol on gw2

I agree Neo.

The AoL-Group currently in place you can use to set up access whatever boards authorized to view and that will limit everyone else. Perhaps a fun board could be created that's open to all that's like Blackgate or something? That will encourage all ON Blackgate from the former ally-guilds to party-up? or Guest when its an available feature?

I've combed back thru everyone who's registered an account since May and the only one I had missed was Ffrost (Phoenix Risling here on forum) so added her in.

The above are NOT in AoL GW 2 even though they've listed AoL as their guild to the best of my knowledge, so they have NOT been added into the AoL-Group.

Also, the recruiting post should be sure (redundant I know but to be clear) to indicate its for AoL and we are primarily based on Blackgate as I think only one or two of our current members have not made the hop yet.

its not easy this transition, dont want to kill gw1 alliance but its true the usage of the forum for gw1 alliance will be reduced to almost nothing ... lets see

yes , its the new round table for guild wars 2 aol topics

i had to unlock the AoL guide lines to make it visible in the portal ...

move another thread that was in that area to the alliance round table, it was about alliance chat , so i think we dont need it for the time being.
