Valentines Day Lottery!

Lord Tennyson said "Love is the only Gold" but I say he was wrong because it's time for another Lotto where we can line the pockets of our winners with Gold! Yeppers that's right let Cupid run around shooting people with his arrows on Feb 14th (so long as he doesn't spear the dice) because we all know if love is blind, why is lingerie so popular then?!? Mark your calendar for 14-Feb-2008 at 8pm EST in the ~~AOL~~ BVOP Guild Hall for the 2009 Valentine's Day Lotto!

LOL here's the deal ... we have carried over from the New Years Eve Lotto the following which Blade of DHF has so kindly been lugging around (time for someone to win it!)

~~- 250 Victory Tokens~~ (we'll be doing a special this weekend for these since they're used during the Canthan New Years Celebration!)

1) Once again it will be 1 - 100 for numbers
2) No more than two people will be able to choose the same number(s) - which allows up to 200 people from the entire Alliance to participate. First come first serve basis, and payment is required before the number(s) are 'locked' to you. (and make sure I have your guild-tag too as we have people with identical names but diffy guilds)
3) Cost is 500g per pick, maximum two picks per person (ie: 1k if you want 2 numbers)
4) There will be a first place that takes 60% of the total jackpot, second gets 30% of the pot, and third place takes home 10% of it. If there are two people on winning number(s), the gold will be split 50-50 and items either halved OR one will need to buy out the other for the object(s) at fair-market value. If it cannot be decided between the winners, then it will be merch'd and the gold split between the two. (so note who's sharing numbers with you and start talking now!)
5) The dice-roll will be in reverse beginning with third-place.
6) Jackpot is starting at the above figures, all tickets sold below are added to it.
7) You can contact me in-game under any of my Kiera names and I'll take your numbers and your gold along with logging your picks below.

As with the past Lotto I will maintain this thread until the big event and should there be no winner, the ENTIRE Jackpot for that spot (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) rolls over to the next one. Having posted all the terms and conditions....

Erm...I hate the whole 'more than one person on a number' thing. :3 Even when we only had one person per number, first come first serve, not all of the numbers were chosen...and we were allowed to buy 4 numbers then! If you are gonna cut us back to 2 numbers, I would have to ask that you cut it back to one person per number again....

I don't know Mint... On the last lotto there was >100 people participating, so if it goes down to 1 person per number, not everyone will always be able to participate...

As I don't think that by then I'll be actively playing GW, and don't want to take away somebody elses win, I won't be signing up at the moment, that may change though Razz

I understand how you feel Minsc <3 but for this Lotto I'm allowing two people per number as was done with the New Years Eve Lotto.

I too like having single-number/per person as it's very easy to manage but this allows for the possibility of up to 200 people from the Full Alliance to play if they so choose, and it seems to increase the socialization between all the Guilds in bantering.
