Seeing as the Fun Facts thread is very popular I thought I'd start a Fun Questions thread.

See if you can answer any of the following. Enjoy!

Imagine 100 light bulbs with light switches numbered 1 through 100, all in a row, all off. Suppose you do the following: toggle all switches that are multiples of 1, then toggle all switches that are multiples of 2, then toggle all switches that are multiples of 3, etc.

By the time you are finished (and have toggled multiples of 100, which is just the last switch), which light bulbs are on and which are off?

I would call it the eye of the i...

The "dot" above the letter i is called a superscript dot, added to the letter in the middle ages to distinguish it vertical slashes in letters such as u, m, and n. On an added note the letter j was originally an alternative means of writing the letter i, introduced at the same time as the dot, later to become a letter of its own.

As for what Mel Blanc was allergic to, Force is right, he was allergic to carrots.

The dot above the "i" - your description is correct Passifis however the dot actually has a name - it is known as a tittle.

You got #1 and #4 correct Spell but the others not so.

lol thats what I thought the first time I saw this question but I never accept anything as being that easy ... the answer is usually staring you straight in the face.

You got questions #1, #3, #4 and #6 correct.

#3 is a very old one and its always funny how many people don't see what is right in front of them.

btw...the 5th question they dont need to remove the poison from the nuts but from the shells.

As the Cashew is tecnically a member of the poison ivy family the toxins in the shell seep into the nut to some extent ... by "roasting" the nuts it nuetralizes the toxins.

#2 - now this isn't quite a fair question to be honest as it is supposed to be taken for granted that the race is on a track and there is more than one lap. As such the forst person to overtake the runner in last place would be the runner in first place. The main reason behind the wording of the question is to make people picture different forms of races and figure which one the question is meant to refer to ... I know not exactly fair but it is another old one so I posted it as I first saw myself.

Good job on that set though guys! I'll post a new set soon ... just trying to find a decent maths one to go into the set
