BVOP GvG Registration!!!

I am the PvP officer in BVOP and currently putting together a GvG team. I would love to have kept it inside of my own guild, it being guild battles and all, but I have given my guild first seat and am now accepting aplications to BVOP's Guild Battle Team! And yes, I said applications. The only requirememts are you must have xfire as well as vent. Xfire has a very nice calander to scheduel events on any since we have a guild set up on xfire I want to make use of it. Ventrillo will handle our com on the alliance channel. I have allowed guild members in with no other conditions other than the two programs above but I'm going to be more particular in my selection of alliance members allowed on the team. I am sorry for this but I believe it is for the best for the team.
To apply for the team all you have to do is leave your main in game name along with any exp you have in PvP. List any PvP titles you have earned. Some titles will hold more weight than others.
I hope to hold GvG as often as I can on Saturdays. Team members should be commited and willing to learn and try new things.

well it has been a while but i would like to try gvg again....with my Monk.
Main is Force Of the Divine but i have an pvp monk 2 thats Force Divine Pvp
Got vent and xfire and uhm,....im in iE as titles i dont got many in pvp except r1 Hero and i got a lot of titles in pve.

GVG?! yay i'll join, i love the pvp aspect of the game, i dont have
any pvp titles...but! i do pvp often....when iam not lazing around...
but still i can play any proffesion other then warrior and ranger
i can also help you organize your team, or even possibly think of
a team build!

btw what team builds r we gonna run mostly?

we were talking, prolly balanced and hexway because some people need 2 get 2 know gvg before we take on harder builds

Ill be happy to give it a try but im sure theres better team mates in the guild, either way im up for the occasional GvG even though i think i have allot to learn about PvP. Im happy to give anything a try at least one, main is a rit but i have plenty others to help, a derv, a paragon, and a monk at the least.

Thanks Skylark. The best way to get better at PvP is to RA. I know its boring but it really, really helps. I'm going to do some heavy RA again before we fight our first fight. Also, for the GvG I recomend creating a PvP character. This is to make build changes easily as well as fast equipment changes. I've found that PvE characters are best left in PvE. This has not become a req. yet but is a STRONG recomendation. Thanks again all. I hope to have the team put together by next saturday, with that day being our first fight. I dont guarantee il join in straight away, im going to have to find the mike we have and its not great, i might go out anb buy a headset to use vent. I just downloaded Xfire and Ventrilo. I wasnt sure in your first post, is me being in RAiD a problem?

absolutely not, i gave members of my guild first choice and as soon as the takers stoped comming in and we had the minimum req from my guild i opened it to the alliance. this is open to any alliance member who want is now. I would like to see other guilds starting there own teams so we can have friendly competition to skirmish and warm up against.

Team members... make sure you get Xfire set up. We will hold our meetings on Xfire and Game play comm will take place in Vent. That may seem confusing, but thats just how I want to run stuff. Also There will be a team meeting this Saturday... May 2nd. This meeting will cover the build basics and develop a central command structure. The meeting will take place at 4 PM Mountain Daylight Time. If you are unavailable during this time please let me know. Also let me know what times would work best for you If you can't be at the meeting. Thanks

The team roster has been updated and is located on my first post in this thread. The meeting will take place over xfire at 4 PM on Saturday the 2nd of May. Xfire will alow those who don't have have a mic yet to type messages during the meeting. Xfire also supports voice chat. It would be great if all team members could post their xfire names here. I'm still not sure if we are going to make a team guild on xfire or just a custom group in the alliance guild. You can get the xfire guild info from the xfire thread on the forums here.

The meeting was supposed to start a half an hour ago! Those who told me they weren't going to be there, thank you. The rest of you... I don't know what the heck we are going to do. The meeting was only to decide who was going to run what build. It was only over the voice chat for crying out loud! You didn't even have to take your character anywhere! If we can't even meet for a simple meeting how are we ever going to get a GvG team organized!!!

well i dunno when the next meeting is but ill hope i can make it..i played a bit gvg in an old guild and that was fun so it would be gr8 if we make it.

time difference screwed me over, im on GMT and so, having logged on at 4:00 realised it wasn't meet time and couldnt make it later. Im bretty sure your 6 hours behind if my maths is right meaning the meet would have been at 10:00 in the afternoon, tell me if im wrong.

Hi, sorry im a bit late for sign-up but would just like to stick my name in, i have a bit of pvp experience and would love to get involved. i can pretty do any rang, monk or dervish build, and possibly rit also any para now i think about it (have nf skills pack) - have ventrilo set up, and am setting up xfire now (name is zoiboi94 i think :S), but need to get mic along with skylark

if the time diff is what i think then if the meet is aroung 4 then its about 10 for me and sabre, if we moved it so it was a little earlier then im sure i could make it but i dunno what the situation wit other people is about earlier times. (Are we planning another meet btw?)

I would like to hold the meeting Saturday, as for earlier, i will see what people can do for time. I think most of the battles will start around 4 or later though. I"m sorry about the time differance. I guess I should have posted what time zone I would be working with to begin with. It all depends on what the rest of the team can make. I"ll ask around and see what is good for evryone else.
