What do you think of monthly Faction Contest?

The last Faction Contest I held was mainly to see if there would be much participation.

In light of the results, and in some cases lack there of, I wondered if you guys would give me some input concerning setting up a monthly Faction Contest.
There are several reasons behind this;
1) Keep the alliance faction growing
2) Introduce more members to AB/JQ/FA
3) Introduce some friendly competitiveness

I'm sure I had more reasons before I started typing but if I had they have deserted me for now lol

its a great thing to do and the plus side to this as well is the winning guild gets to brag about it =D

One thing I will change is instead of it being a 24hr event I will make it a week long event and tie the end of it in so the winners can be announced on the Bugle.
I'll decide what week to hold it and have it repeat monthly from there on.

One of the latest things we are practicing to get it done fast is the Drazach Thicket Speed Clear - DT SC or DSC.

4 600' monks and 4 smiters wipe the area clean. It takes us 15 minutes now to clear it and with practice we could do it even faster. So thats -aprox- 16 k of faction per 15 minutes. The more monks we can get into that area of Factions the better.
The cool thing that adds to it is that ur actually farming at the same time and swearing because ur teammates always get the better drops then u.=] (read: joke)

Hope to see u guys soon making teams for the speedclear and join us in these runs. Ask us for the builds, in order to get the appropriate skills from Eye of the North that are required to do the run much easier. (You move like Dwarf, Finish Him are a few)

Not that great as a 600 Monk? But want to practice still in HM, I would recommend do the feather farming to get used to spamming skillls, ur hero can be ur bonder or even a teammate. Have fun!

16k per 15mins ... at that rate if each guild were to get in on the action the overall alliance faction should rocket! And I love the bonus of members learning new skills/builds while hunting with other members

Oh no probs, as said, this could speed things up quite a bit. But there is one thing I'm bad at and that's posting builds. There are 2 different ones and me personally have to rename them and tweak them here and there a lil bit. The builds used are the 600 monk and bonder/smiter monk. Everyone has those, so its obtainable from almost anyone.
Just a few skills more that are required are Unyielding Aura, Blood Ritual (Blood is Power works too). Still debating the use of Finish Him or another Norn skill. So just to incude the possibility for u to cap Norn skills we have the Magni the Bison tourny build for any proffession, that works for any quest that requires "a duel", except for the Thousand Bears Club quest (using shouts makes u immidiatly failing that quest).
