Necro Minion Master

Hello again. This time I'd like to post a simple minion master build that works good for me.

Elite skill is Aura of the Lich.
Animate Vampiric Horror
Animate Bone Horror
Blood of the Master
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support
Run As One - or another run skill if you have one.
Signet of Corruption - this is a Kurzick necro skill
Tryptophan Signet - this is a Vanguard skill

Aura of the lich is awesome, you can raise a bunch of minions at once, you can raise A minion if there are no dead bodies, and it boosts your attribute by 1 for death magic. They buffed this skill and it works great.

Animate Vampiric Horror is good because you gain health equal to the dmage it deals. I try to have one or two of these going at all times, makes up for Blood of Master I have to cast to keep them alive during a fight.

Assassin Support is always handy anywhere, anytime, but particularly if you get into up close and personal fight, they can distract enemy while you back away.

The corruption signet is handy simply because it does damage and it doesn't cost energy - same with Tryptophan Signet which slows your enemies down. If you slow them and use a run skill you get a clear advantage and more chance to run away from hand to hand combat.

For this build, I have 16 death magic (+3 rune on my head piece) - and 12 Beast Mastery.

If you don't have a run skill or don't want one, you can run as Necro/Monk and replace that with Rebirth, onlly need a few points 3 or so in that and then you have a rez on you.

aura of the lych ftw. i much prefer it to jagged bones.

I'm kinda surprised by a MM build with no Flesh Golem, but Aura of the Lich kicks so much butt it doesn't matter.

I Actually use the build but i dont really use title skills all that often so i usually make builds limited for everyone elses liking.

Works alot better than most, but this is mainly for a hero!

Personally I'd like to keep MM's skills purely to those of MM, with that said, Divina, how about trying to replace Putrid Bile with something like Dark Bond, with 12/12 in Death/Soul Reaping you can still put 3 in Blood, then maybe for a hero using this build we can put Blood Ritual in place of Res Signet as they cast that on Monks often. Also if for a human player I sometimes prefer Consume Corpse over Signet of Lost Souls, you'll get more energy and life that way assuming most MM's have 16 in Death and 13 in Soul Reaping. And last if for Heroes I like to use Jagged Bones for the elite, that skill is basically made for Heroes to use because it is extremely hard for humans to micromange minions as good as the AIs do.

I don't do the MM thing unless I have to. I'm better at cursing and blood than death.

i use putrid bile on mine too.

Another option is to use Well of Suffering which causes health degen and its a death magic skill so you don't have to put attribute points in another magic category. I'm a big fan of confining my attributes to two categories if I can so that I can crank them up to the highest level - Usually a 16 in one and a 14 in the second. This gives maximum damage and effectiveness for all spells.

I've seen lots of builds that combine soul reaping/curses spells with death magic but as an mm, I don't like to spread myself thin like that. As an mm, my minions fight for me, that's the whole idea to me. So the other attack skills are merely backup to me. My job is to create and maintain minions, not spam a hex spell. For that, I'll be a ss necro if that's what's needed. But when I'm a minion master, I want my skills to all support and compliment that goal.

Necromancer is my favorite proffesion and i love coming up with builds. I was playing on a necro in FA and i came up with the most amazing necromancer build please feel free to use it.

Make shure to have max death magic (16) and a quick casting set as well as blood stained insignia. Alot of players would agree its waste to heal minions but after years of playing i simply know this is not true. if all your minions are being constantly healed and re summoned they wont die and they'll continue to deal dmg. This also makes it harder for nukers to wipe out your army with 1 spell.

I always like to put Dark Bond in my MM builds. Even with only 3 in blood magic it will last 36 seconds.
