Better Late Than Never...?
Hello, everyone. Procrastination is a way of life for me, so it’s taken me far too long to activate a forum account. As for the “About Me” part…
I’m known in-game as Tika, or sometimes Tikas since all my characters are Tika’s something or other. Guild Wars is the first computer game I’ve played unless you count Solitaire, (which I’ve been told does NOT count at all). I was sucked into this addictive game by my daughter, Lady Lala Sanchez, and her boyfriend, Fullmetal Ed, a year ago. Within a week of creating and playing on a character on Lala’s account, I realized I had to have my very own account and I needed ALL the campaigns AND the expansion. (A mini Kuunavang made it on my wish list, too.)
My first character, Tika Dragonslayer, was a Ranger. I was more than a noob, as you can imagine with Solitaire being my only computer game experience, but with my daughter’s guidance and occasional help from her and Ed, I was able to quickly finish Prophecies. My husband, Caramon Lance Hero, couldn’t take being excluded from the fun and mayhem, so he bought his own account. He chose Warrior as his first profession, and I created an Elementalist to take the journey with him. Though my daughter and husband fell in love with the professions of their first characters, Ranger and Warrior respectively, I adore and am most comfortable with my Ele, Tikas Mage. She’s the character I play on the most, and the one I’m working on titles for.
I have characters of every profession, at various stages in the game. I’ve completed Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North on at least one of my characters and in some cases, several. Aside from the satisfaction felt when finishing a campaign, the happiest I’ve been in-game was when I finally bought my Kuunavang. My worst in-game trait is my inability to read chat while fighting ---typing while fighting is TOTALLY beyond my ability. With that in mind, I’m sure you can understand why I’m so quiet on chat, but I’m working on speaking out more. I’ve met some really nice people in-game and look forward to meeting more.
Real life has been known to interfere with on-line escape, but after a year it’s still my family’s favorite group leisure activity.

Are your names taken from the Dragonlance set of books, been a while since I read them, but they look familiar.

Re: Better Late Than Never...?
Yes, they are. Aspects of this game reminded me very much of the books. Though I wish I could be as powerful a Mage as Raistlin.
