Player Courtesy
Although my post "Den Mother on Manners" is in the guidelines section, I wanted to make a post here about something that seems to be happening lately.
Quite a few times lately, when getting a party together, we end up standing around for 1/2 hour to an hour waiting for everyone to get their stuff together, go to the bathroom, make phone calls, etc.
Here's the thing - for a planned event where the time is posted ... if you commit to go, PLEASE do all that stuff before and be ready to go at the time posted. That means if an event is at 7 PM, get on 15 minutes before, gather your salvage kits, lockpicks, etc., have bathroom run and beverage gathered, etc.
If you are unsure of how long something takes to do, ASK. That being said, be sure you have the time to complete the dungeon/mission you are commiting to do. This is part of common courtesy.
Going into a mission and leaving half way through is unacceptable.
Going into a mission and going afk half way through or 5 minutes in, is unaccepable.
While I understand that real life does intrude and sometimes there is an emergency or something that you need to take care of, for the most part, set the time aside.
If something does come up, let your fellow players know. Don't just disappear or go afk without saying anything.
While none of this should have to be said, unfortunately, apparently, it does. We are here to have fun, and I realize this is a game, however, let's try to make part of the fun participating all the way through an event. Thanks for listening to me rant. :O)

Re: Player Courtesy
Amen. You're preaching to the choir as it were.
The other night parties were forming up for DOA. I came, got in a group, and we sat for 30mins before the party fell apart. We needed 2 more and others didnt want to wait. On the fly teams are hard enough to organize, scheduled shouldn't be.
