Guild Banking System Empty Guild Banking System

Post by JackGroves Wed Sep 12, 2012 7:15 pm

Hi guys this is just a little bit about how the guild bank is going to work now that it is up and running. Anybody can deposit into the guild bank but only officers, senior officers and the leader can withdraw items. So if you look in there and there is somthng that you may need or find useful just give one of us a shout eather in game or via gmail if no higher ranking players are on.( But to be honist i cant see that happening.)

So the things you should put into the bank are item drops that other players may find useful such as Armor/Weapons/Crafting Matts. This doesnt mean everything you pick up should go in because there just isnt the space for it to be filled with peoples crap that they dont have room for in their own bank, so please only put in things that you think others will find usefull.

EDIT! So we have now had a talk about what should into the guild bank.
So here is a list of what should go in:
Crafting mats
Master work wepons and armor (green) or above
high level made food
dyes
minis
useful objects eg black lion chests

Things that should not go in:

low level food
wepons and armor that are below green (blue, white, gray)
junk items

If an item is in there for longer than 3-4 days then the item will be sold and the money will go back into the bank to be used for guild based events and prizes.
Anything that is in there that shouldnt be will instantly be sold.

Me and Dayle just had a chat about the items in the guild bank and we have decided that if an item is in there for longer than 3-4 days then the item will be sold and the money will go back into the bank to be used for guild based events and prizes.

I like the idea of selling stale items. It will keep the bank from getting stuffed with stuff of little interest.

Black lion chests are somewhat more appealing now that they contain a permanent Black Lion Express item.

I can't find where I read it, but if I remember right, the Guild Stash (50 slot) is now open for all members to with draw from, correct? The Treasure Trove (100 slot) is open for deposit by all members, but withdrawal only by officers.

Also, on this note, I've been tempted to queue up Architecture V so we can get the Deep Vault. I didn't want to make that big of an influence purchase without discussion. We have plenty of influence.

The great debate in my mind is figuring out what it is people use (to promote that better). Otherwise, the guild bank is quite clean as of late, though I think we should denote that sigils under 1 silver in price are worthless to put in the bank. Or... if we notice a lot of empty space: leave a tab for guild donations (items people put in for us to sell and raise the guild bank's money, this would work since we can enable deposit but disable a withdrawal so people won't be taking expensive donations).

We may want to start encouraging some sort of donation... not just for the bank, but for influence too. Bank donations can go toward influence purchases. With the Guild Quest updates we are going to need A LOT of influence.
