Class lessons Empty Class lessons

Post by Blank De Ratche Wed Jul 17, 2013 8:53 pm

As I've been playing my warrior more and more lately it's got me thinking. I don't know how to play warrior! So I was thinking about some class classes so to speak, for example, I can do engi and ele quite well, so if anyone wants any tips on them I'd be happy to help. I know in our guild we have to have other happy volunteers who would help with the classes they feel good with.

I'm a bit rusty on Ele since I don't play Blazing as much lately, but I can give you some pointers from my play style. The hardcore players probably wouldn't call me good, but I usually hold my own Wink

I think I'm pretty okay with mesmers.

Tip no. 1: GS for melee enemies, sword/focus for ranged.
Tip no. 2: Blink is your 'oh shit gotta bail' button
Tip no. 3: If blink does not work, press F4 for additional 1~4 seconds of safety
If F4 doesn't work pray to Grenth that he doesn't give you his hug of death.

The reason gs is used for ranged is because it works the same ways as a ranger's longbow 1 skill. You do more damage the further you are from the target. You can have focus skills reflect, and that's helpful, but the focus 4 skill is more of a roaming skill with great usage for cc as well. So if I were playing a sword/focus build, I'd first pull the mobs into a corner/spot to group them together, cast focus 5, use sword 3 twice, use the sword 1 skill for a bit to stack some vulnerability on the mobs and then use sword 2 skill.
