Midways Guild Meeting Suggestion

Midway posted in the regular forum about a possible guild meeting
for our active members
I personally think this is a good idea as it may uncover any little issues before they become large.

If we did start doing this my suggestion would be Prior to Guild missions, maybe once a week to once a month [monthly so if people really wanted to attend have plenty of notice prior]

We occasionally have Officer Meetings before Guild Missions.

We used to have Guild Meetings too (ancient history). I think it is a good idea. There will need to be moderation and someway to control who is talking.

Mandatory Teamspeak?

Squad Chat?

I think the officer meeting is a good idea. We have not been consistent on having them as far as I can tell, so maybe it is time to be? I have been in large guilds that had large meetings on a regular basis and they rarely turned out well. I will say that the organization of guilds has become a lot less brutal since the days of DKP and mandatory raids etc.

officer meetings are not meant to hide anything, if anyone wants to join in they can, as long as they're respectful.  They can be rather boring, and anyone attending should be aware that attending does demonstrate to us their leadership abilities, responsibilities, etc.

Basically, it'll never be mandatory for members, but it can be used in terms of promotion.

But there is no reason we couldnt have both,
Officer meetings for those things that need to be said behind closed doors
and guild meetings to see how everyone is going
what they want more of, less of, need help etc etc

Thanks Flynx, glad you see things from my perspective, I didn't mean combine them all because there are things that do need to be kept behind closed doors.

I would definitely keep officer's meetings to officers only though. Its also meant to hash through problems the guild may be having with members and we don't need those discussions public.
