Keep me up to date

This section got awful quiet Everything ok out there? Nobody has anything on their mind? Good/bad ?

Blade and I are just a little frustrated with our guild lately. Very hard to keep members. Even after I explained what had happened over the weekend to the 6 members that left encluding 2 officers...they didn't care. So our moral is really low right now. We are going to recruit more members this weekend...but I don't really see it helping much. They always leave.

Yeah, I've also been having recruiting trouble but I've also been pretty busy with school work. Hopefully I'll have a competetion further on for my officers to get recruits, anything to shirk off the responsibility to do it myself ^_^

We've done recruiting here and there, but can't get more than 1 or 2 new members at a time. The thing that is most frustrating is retaining new joinees. I heard about the crash over at DHF and I feel for you. We have had problems since the original leader got pregnant last summer. I took over as GL in late Oct and we had a major infight going on at that time. After calming things for a while we had 3 member, 2 officers and a member, leave in the middle of the night.

Steady growth in this may be a thing of the past. You will get surges when new product comes out, ie. EOTN. You might see a burst of new players and returning players when GW2 comes out. I think just maintaining your numbers are the best you can hope for right now.


In the mean time keep active in the alliance, we all enjoy the game and each other. So, take advantage of who and what we have here.

I've been able to oversee each guild, known all of your struggles, history, you name it. I've waited for this topic to come around. Its not a really pressing issue, but it is an important one. Thats why i've always said, "So long as you're growing, i dont care what pace, i'm fine with it. Everybody has stumbles with members leaving and other various problems. Everybody. Its just the nature of the game. I do try to throw each of you a bone here or there. For those that i feel slip into the shadows and remain silent, i dont bother anymore. I used to go out of my way to lend a helping hand, but no more. If you want recruiting advice, i'm full of it. I'll even go on a recruiting spree with you and your officers. We didnt get to where we all are by sittin on our asses

Dont get me wrong; I'm VERY happy with where we are. I'm grateful to have been lucky enough to befriend you all, and all those you've brought along for the ride. Its tough to find good people, and its even tougher to keep them around. No matter which problem you have (recruiting them or keeping them) i can offer help. We dont have people leaving AoL. We've always been full house, even overfull at times (bumping out people we know and cringing as we do it!)

Whenever a guild starts to backslide like KROD has (and its been like that for a while) then i offer everybody who is active an opportunity to go to a growing guild in need. More thoughts later on..i'll let you talk before i type forever.

I'm trying to establish guidelines with my guild about inactivity, but so many members would be kicked that it would be a drastic change to all of a sudden kick 20+ people.

been quiet in the leaders section of the forum lately. everything going ok? lol oh and btw, we should try to do a "leaders only" group like once a month. any suggestions?

Nothing new happening at TOA. Been trying to do some recruiting here and there, right now focusing on retention.

Thought I'd post something on the quicks. I've been pretty busy with finals the past week, but I'm now free from school for a while so I should hopefully be more active. Things have been extra crazy around here otherwise, but I'm on now so that's much with the good. Hopefully my officers and I can rebuild BOOM, especially now that I only have to deal with work and not both work and school (for the next couple of months). ^_^
I hope all is well with everyone else.

Just to let everyone know, i will be gone for 5 or 6 days.I have designated laydee fatality guild leader since i wont be here.We totally trust micheal and he will do a good job.Blonde wont be on much while i am gone either that was the reasoning...and plus its a little perk.See everyone when i return.

We are working on a mini merger of sorts. One of my officers friends and 9 of his guildies, gl included, are thinking of joining us. They are small and looking to go someplace where they can be more active and have more fun.

DFD has lost a few members since coming back and all I gotta say is Im kinda glad. They were the kinda people that didn't have anything nice to say and were smart asses about everything. I have currently stepped down as GL for a week or 2. But I will be back and still active in that time. Ithalius or Kilborn will be running the show until I get my time back. Blonde sorry to hear about you losing some guildies, But when I came back to DFD last October we had 3 members left from when I left 6 months prior and had around 60. We are upto 94 members and about 50-60 active daily.

One thing I try to do is set-up some kinda event wither it is farming or faction hunting. It kinda keeps people interested and excited. As a gl I notice if I am afk for a day its a guarantee we lose 2-3 members, If a Officer leaves you always lose 3-4 members it seems. I got hog wild with Officers awhile ago and have some pretty solid members that may be interested in coming over to you guys if you would like. Just let me know.

Unfortunatly I haven't been able to react sooner, but the reason of my absence is because I'm changing ISP. I do not know how fast I will have internet back but it will take 2 weeks at least. There is a chance maybe a little longer.
That said I will have to make Carseus (Darren) guildleader for the duration of my absence. I know the timing is never convenient, but I trust soon all will be solved in a reasonable amount of time. The rare chance I will have to get on a pc with GW I will do so. I think it will be at my nephew's.

I do apologize for all the inconvenience with all this, but sometimes, what can u do. It depends on how fast the burocracy works hehe. Akroma, guys, have a good game and I hope to see ya guys soon.

Just thought I should say about our current increase in membership. We are at a total of 37 in the Warlords of Destruction [BOOM], up from yesterday's ~24. 50% increase, thanks to a few hard-working officers that dedicated their free time today. ^_^
I'm happy to see their dedication. Just a quick update from our neck of the alliance woods. =)

Hi all,

I am temporarily acting up as Leader whilst Moon is having his ISP problems, hopefully he'll be back soon but you'll have to suffer me until he returns.

So how is IE and what are we up to? Well aside from the missing Moon, we have appointed Officers to cover all time zones as we are totally international in profile, so there should always be at least one officer on-line to help out and advise the newer guys. Membership is now up to 62 with probably a core of 30-35 long termers now, the rest seem to come and go. Too many people just want to have everything done for them and so don't stay long once we actually get them to try stuff on their own!! Not sure why some people find it impossible to read wiki for themselves but hey. We do lots of PvE and titles stuff and enjoy a good vanq. We are trying to get a bit more organised in respect of Speed Clears and I know that TVOL were keen on that too, so we'll keep encouraging the members and maybe help to push that faction total up. Generally we're up for any alliance events and will always help out when we can.

So see you in game and hope to hook up for some fun.

Saying hello... hey guys! Cannot express enough how much I hate the fact not having internet atm. Hopefully it will be just a few weeks till I get the connection. The length of my summer vacation will determine that. If I'm a month away in Croatia, it would be a waste of the monthly fee, heh.
