Alliance Activities
This is more of a complaint if I may,
There were several occasions when some of my folks wanted to make some teams for UW or FoW, balanced, sadly we got absolutely no response from ally, only after we spammed a little (and that negative). Same thing happened later that day.
More like a heads up.

Re: Alliance Activities
Speaking as one who likes both UW and FoW with allies and a balanced party, both can be hard to get a full team for without planning. I'd usually love to come, but if I can't guarantee the time to set aside, I don't want to come and have to leave in the middle.
I bet I'm not the only one that doesn't want to commit the time even if we support your trip. Also, saying "I don't wanna come" all the time to requests generally makes one sound more rude than just saying nothing.

Re: Alliance Activities
I don't see that as a valid complaint tbh.
It's well known balanced ways (while possibly more fun) take much longer than sc's. As Cagey said, people often do not have the time to commit to such things, without prior notice.
It would be one thing if people had been rude to 'your folks', had the time but were unwilling to try it out, cba to come or such.. . another to complain people dont want to break vanquishs/dungeons and drop everything to come at a moment's notice :/
What might work better? Plan something ahead, or ask around on ventrilo maybe. Few enough people on there as it is, that's more of a genuine concern.

Re: Alliance Activities
The real problem is the fact that we got no response whatsoever. I know very well that if you want to get a party going for something you need to plan ahead. Check the forums, we did it.

Re: Alliance Activities
This really doesn't help you, but just know you aren't alone. I've had plenty of trouble getting stuff together even with posts to the forums and repeated messages in alliance chat. Often times you just have to go with people from your own guild and heroes because so few are interested. Everyone and every guild has their own focus, so it is tough to always find eager allies.
Anyway my advice is to just not give up because that has gotten the best results on my end. Good luck

Re: Alliance Activities
Unfortunately, I personally never go on those balanced teams since I cannot make any guarantee that I will stay for the entire duration (and no one likes a leaver). As such, I prefer to do bite sized things such as dungeons or missions which I can at least stall with should something arise.
But I'll keep an eye out regardless and join on whatever I can .

Re: Alliance Activities
Also some people aren't on forum and don't have chat on. That's just how those people are. Yeah they are annoying but there isn't really anything you can so to change that.

Re: Alliance Activities
Like others have said above I just don't have the time and I'll be worried that I wont actually be able to finish a full balanced run. I don't like refusing or Ignoring requests, but its better than having to leave half way right? Don't get me wrong though... I'd love to find the time to do go with you guys sometime!

Re: Alliance Activities
Spur of the moment may be tough, forum communication/planning works out for many reasons. Mainly because your crew of people gets to meet the others within the alliance that share those similar interests. From there, going spur of the moment is easier. You may have caught alliance at a point in time when things were slow; hence limited/no response.

Re: Alliance Activities
RAiD normally does fow/uw nightly... But we only do those in the sc form. Well the majority of us that is. So to do a balanced way fow/uw is just a bit scary cause its not half as fast.

Re: Alliance Activities
Well I have no problem teaching fowsc... I can do any area.. and I have most of the builds save. I will try to get those posted soon.. or just pm me for the builds and I will teach you how to use them. As for uwsc.. the crew wasnt on tonight Oo and I am not very exp in that. And I dont mind taking unexp players as long as they have the build and are willing to learn xD

Re: Alliance Activities
i would like to try UW or any area that is hard to clear, but i don't usually have a good build/skills or money and tomes to get them that why i want to do the areas. I would love to go to UW without dying everytime and yes i've attempted it and died.

Re: Alliance Activities
well if u got the right build it doesnt matter most of the times.
It does help to be on vent to do "elite" area's more people interested there.
And like the others said the forum helps to plan it 2.

Re: Alliance Activities
I'm not sure about UWSC, but for FoWSC, the only way to "teach" is to start with an easy role such as UA. UA doesn't require any knowledge of the area as you just follow the rest of the main team. The other roles need experience first.

Re: Alliance Activities
some of us do UW on a daily basis, as dam said, usually in speed clear form. its better going about an hour to beat dhuum than 3+ hours with a balanced team. i dont have near enough time for that usually lol, as with many others.
