Meeting notes from May 5th

Expanded from Leaders meeting to Leaders + Officers meeting.

Topic: The future of Alliance in GW2 - Will AoL alliance work in both GW1 and GW2 when GW2 is officially released?

- There is a group of players whom have stated that they arent gonna join into GW2. Reasons variate from general dislike of how GW2 is atm, to simple, not being able to upgrade computer to suitable for GW2.

- Discussed about what remaining GW1 players do, after GW2 is out, and came to conclusion that all remaining GW1 players could possibly join same guild in the alliance, or just form a group together so they know whos still there, organizing stuff for GW1's AoL Alliance. Is it possible to get a head count of those in your guilds who are going on to gw2 and are staying???

- Many leaders + officers are going to try maintain both games as long as its possible.

- UnlikeTea from [Liar] suggested that we could organize sort of Comp-upgrade center for players whom need upgrade comp but cant for example afford it. Our alliance most likely has players who build computers as hobby and have decent comp upgrades getting dust in closets, which they could donate to players who need them. We decided to consider this as a good choice to try when its time for it.

- Too early to make final conclusions about how the game will turn out and how does it suit alliance, but decided to regularly change opinions once we learn more trough Beta's and official announcements from developers, for example how large a guild in GW2 can be, 100-1000 members?.

If anyone has any input concerning the above suggestion... please speak!!! We'd like all the ideas, suggestion and comment!!!

BTW... this was an open officers/guild leaders mtg to get an idea how other members felt about the upcoming GW2 changes...

Next meeting the first Saturday of June, aka 2nd of June, 4 pm EST (Mumble) Let's all try to make it!!! I'd like to hear some ideas on GW2 and keeping the people in the alliance together. Also, keeping gw1 maintained and keeping those still on gw1 still happy....I've been hearing alot of complaints from ppl that there is no one on and nothing/no one to play with....What can we do to keep thing in the alliance upbeat???? If your not participating in gw1, being active, should ppl step down as officers/leaders if not actively helping others and the alliance???? Getting on Mumble??? Something to consider... Aura
