meeting notes for 4/7/12

ok... for those who missed the meeting for whatever reason.. here is a brief synopsis...

*Future meetings will be held on the first Saturday of every month unless otherwise stated so... If you have anything you'd like to bring up to the GL's, it can be posted in the GL chat for all to see unless it need immediate attention, and we can hold a specific mtg for that incident. You should be checking the forum regularly for updates and messages. I would ask that you check at least once a week!!!

1. Keeping alliance members Happy!!! Weekend alliance events... GL stated they would like to see more HOM runs!!! Keep the guildies happy by asking what they'd like to do...and lets do them.. I do like the screen shot contest and getting ppl on the forum. Explain that event do happen and can be seen on the forum...The more who go on the forum..the more ppl will be active and happy!! Tell them to get on vent!!! Not only is this helpful during the runs...but you get to know one another!! We are an alliance... we should be working together to help one another out! So that means YOU also have to be on vent. Also.. help the little guy who is desprately working on leveling his toon so he can join the alliance runs and activities... If you see someone asking for help on a quest/mission so he/she can get thru nightfall... Help them!!!

2. Vent will be changing!!! Lucky will be looking into getting us on another vent since ours is discontinuing on the 14 of April!! Yes!! this month!!! Hopefully we will have enough time to reassign everyone to the new vent system.

3. Promoting and demoting When you promote guildies to Officer, Explain what is expected of them... they do not get the position and then sit on their butts... They need to be on.. hosting events.. on vent and forum and monitoring guildies behaviors... no swearing, spaming, sexual and lude comments, blah blah blah... if you see something...say something...and if it continues... tell that GL or myself. We will not allow this!!! And once that member is kicked... either by another alliance officer/ GL... he/she is kicked for good and put on Black list!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

4. Kicking Guilds We have talked about kicking guild that are not active anymore... LOR will be kicked for inactivity... MC was discussed, but due to GL's financial problems, it has been reconsidered and will make contact with Nola (one of MC's GL) to discuss what will be done. Any LOR/MC member who wants to switch over to our guild in the mean time can do so if room with your guild.
Also, inviting a European guild was discussed to replace kicked guild... Everyone like the idea!!!

5. Guild must try to remain active!!! Should try to have at least 20 active members. If a guild memeber is gone for a month, and gives no reason (ie school, vacation, work obligations, family issues..etc..) they should be kicked and replaced!!

6. Hacked accounts!! ANET is getting involved in helping those whose accounts have been hacked but must be notified!!! Do not keep getting on your account because they take snap shot of your inventory (lucky expalained this better ) to know what you had and will return all items!! Change passwords, do not use same password for forum and account!!! Lucky... if you want to add more...PLEASE DO!! We also should be letting our guildies know this is happening...and what to do if it does!!!

Sorry there was no attendees from LTGD just wondering on the active part of the notes, what is the usual guild policy? we kick anyone over 2weeks..

I will ussually wait till 4 weeks... that is up to you though.. I have a few members that are in school but don't want to leave the guild... so we put them on a hold list. It is your guild... manage it how you would like as long as if follows the alliance guildline on behavior/rules. No swearing (excessive and if asked to stop, comply) spamming, scamming, harassing members, religious/political/sexual conversation that will annoy or intimidate guildies... basically....be nice and have fun. Mainly, if your asked to stop a particular behaviour... you stop, no questions asked.. We are an alliance and meant to help out and be friends/friendly.. Aura
