Idea for an activity

Hey all,

just had an idea recently on some guild activity/event... Just wanted to run it by you and see if it was worth organizing or even fine tuning...

Beau has organised quite a bit of lotteries and I was thinking to take that idea and give it a little twist...

So... The idea would be to get some members/officers to send me items/cash by in-game mail... Could be send randomly at any time intervals before the draw. I'm not sure how many mails would be required to have a good pool to choose from... I'm thinking 20 at least.

I'd then organise those mails by order of reception... First one would be #1, second one #2 and so on... Then just follow the lottery idea and get people to buy those mails without knowing what's in it.

Of course not every mail will have a prize... Some could have missions or tasks to be performed by the one who draws it in order to get the reward... Some could contain "services"... Like officers could commit to do "5 AC runs" with the person who gets the coupon... Or could be silly things like "free ticket for a back rub" whatever...

Let me know if that sounds interesting...

Just hit me but what's the inbox limit in-game?

OK have looked it up and it's maximum 10 mails in inbox... So may need to find another way to do that...

Maybe you could have a couple people act as the holders for the mail?

Not sure... I first thought of using guild bank as a grid to pur prize on, take a screenshot, assign a number to each slot and put them up for auction...

Only problem with using guild bank is one slot can only hold one item or a stack of the same items...

Actually, one way to do it is to have you guys sent me PM on the forums with your giveaways... Of course split them up in different PM's so it is easier for me to sort in ascending order...

We can called that "mixed bag of awesomeness" or something.

Then once we get someone to buy one, I'll inform the person who proposed to give them away to mail them in-game to the one who's purchased it.

One thing, though, is I would like to have all 20 ready before putting them up for sale... So please start sending me some PM's and once we got 20 (or more) I'll post an thread to start getting people in.

Of course I won't buy any as I know what's inside ^^... Also, how much should we ask per "mixed bag of awesomeness" and what will we do with the money? Maybe we can use it as a cash prize in one (or more) of the bags...

Just got food buffs so far... I guess I'll come up with something and make it happen some way or another.

Reviving this since we're trying to get some activities going... I know it's similar to lotteries but whatever...
