Aol Mumble Server - work in progress

If you have not set up mumble yet for voice chat. Here are some instructions:

First Download the mumble client here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

When you first run it, a window like below should open up. Select Add New.... and enter the information shown below. Label can be anything, I chose AoL to differentiate between ours and Liars. Username is what you want to show up as online. Preferably, choose something that will be recognizable to the guild.

I logged in, had same certificate problem but I passed that.... compared to liars 70ping this one here is 196

i get over 200 with liar ... never had any lag issues
this one gives me 003 of ping lol ..

i need to find out how to correct the certificate issue .. for now once you accept it it will never ask again.

we need to test actually talking not just the ping .. the ping values are micro seconds , anything under 500 no one will notice any delay .. 500 is half second.

I think we should also acknowledge that the reason Neo gets such small ping while the rest of us get such large ping is because it's based closer to Neo, while we are all far far away from Neo.

yes , this server is hosted on the data center of the only ISP macau have.

good thing is it will most probably never go down .. up and down bandwidth are near unlimited .. as logan said only the distance makes the ping higher

im looking forward to test this server talking with people on the other side of the world

I've used that this week-end with Ratche and Wine for WvW (since Liars Mumble is down)... It worked great, no lag between me next to the server and you guys on another continent.

So this is a viable option I think... Maybe even could invite Liars to use until they fix theirs.

I think the mumble is great. While it says the ping is high, we had no problems. I say lets make all the officers admins or mods on it and promote it as the guild chat.

First thing first, make everyone use that and this. We need more younger people with the ability to create life. T.T

One thing I've started doing and would like help doing is to make it more organized. As of now, we have party channels and that's it. We need to make pve pvp etc. that way people know which room is what. Maybe neo can give officers admin or mod capability so we can create permanent channels.

I set up an account; same certificate error as mentioned above. No one else was on at the time.

server is back on !

there was some power issues on the server ... replaced power cable .. working again

unfortunately server is down again ... my brother is not giving this the support it needs  ... we need to find another solution.
