SEVEN EVENTS/ Scavenger Hunt

Ok! Time to let the cat outta the bag! I've been working on the scavenger hunt lists. There are going to 4 different lists, one for each campaign, so that everyone has a chance of winning something. If you don't have Factions, then try for the Prophecies list! Everyone gets a chance this way.

The date is not yet decided, but this is not like Mighty's hunt. This is a whole lot bigger. Each campaign list will have 30 items to hunt, all of them stackable, so expect to have to farm for them. This is not something that can concievably be done in a week or two. This is a big scavenger hunt. I haven't decided yet if I am going to put in a few little riddles at the end that you have to try to figure out what I am looking for and then go get it, as well. Answer the riddle and then go pick up one of the item it's talking about. Just one of the things I'm considering here.

Teams will consist of anywhere from 2-4 people, depending on how many we get to sign up. Dividing the lists and going after the items seperately is fine if you want to...the method you use to acquire these items will be your own. Just know this: If you spend your money on items, I don't wanna hear any whining if you don't win or if the prize doesn't replace what you spent. You have been warned.

What I need from all of YOU is to know who in the alliance and the guild would be interested in participating in this? Leave a post here! I would, ideally, like at lease one person from each guild to participate, but it's far from mandatory.

Minsc, I have a few things I would like to add into your lists, if possible. I think you will really like my ideas.

Feel free to PM me here on the forums. As often as I've been PMing Akroma and Kiera, I've gotten into the habbit of looking for them.

Well, this Scavenger Hunt is not gonna be for a while yet, at least a few weeks as I see it, so you have time to get in on it if you wanna work on getting through Factions and Nightfall. I'll give ya a hand with it, myself, seeing as how I still have a few characters that need to get through both campaigns.

Kiera, Diggy, Sir William, and Keat? Just 4? C'mon, people! We have more belly button lint in this guild alone than that, much less the entire alliance! Spread the word! Send mass e-mails if you have to! (actually not a bad idea. >_> *mental note*)

I have heard/seen Akroma express disappointment a FEW times over the lack of interest in these events. Let's show him that we can have a good turnout for more than just the Big Picture!

Mighty, if you have idea, please, feel free to present them! I have been working on the Scavenger Hunt list pretty heavily the last few days, which is why I have been scarce. I've put in more than 4 hours on it today alone. o.o Help get the word out!

if i was you id contact the guild leaders and spam alliance chat thats the best way to get the word out, using the forum as a way of advertisement help but only so much

How large are the teams gonna be?

right now, I'm thinking a maximum of 4 per team. That seems pretty standard for these Scavenger Hunts. If I can't get more people interested, though, then that number will fall significantly....may even be a solo deal and not a team thing. o.o

that sounds the same as what i had invisioned too minsc. and btw mighty, yes of course i have spoken with as many as i could. and everyday i try to spread it more and more - get them to help spread it as well. i've been ten steps ahead of you.

maybe you should have guild teams so that the guild could appoint someone to "hold" items while the others "fetch" them. Then the adverts could be passed down to the guilds for participation and you could oversee the actual progress of the hunt.

is there a time frame for this? such as a week or more for hunting? I'm definately going to help out on this one!

If we get enough interested people to have teams, then it's completely up to each team how they would like to do it. If you want to designate one certain person as the 'item holder' then feel free.

We have already done that, as far as advertising. We've spammed Alliance Chat in-game, we've asked all the other guild leaders and officers to put it in their guild announcements and talk to their members about it, we even sent out a mass e-mail to every registered member of the forum about it, and still we're having trouble getting people interested. Hell, I was talking on Alliance Chat the other day about the Big Picture and had people (even some AoL members!!!) asking what the hell I was talkin about! People have a tendency to get on this game and completely ignore Alliance and Guild chat...never read the guild announcements...never check the forums....how do you get through to these people? >.<

As for a time frame, it takes as long as it takes. These are some very big lists spanning the ENTIRETY of each campaign, with a few riddles to solve and screenshots to take, so it's MEANT to take a long time.
