Scavenger hunt

Tired of being a little short funded? Wish you could afford that weapon you've always dreamed of? Need that little extra gold to line your pockets?

Sunday the 17th we are holding a scavenger hunt. A small break from the usual tasks and quests. The morning of the scavenger hunt a post will be added showing the list of all the items to collect. It will be things that can be obtained no matter which campaigns you own. Everybody who wishes to take part in it leave a post so that we know you are entered in the hunt. Prizes will be given out to the first, second and third person to complete the hunt. It may not be over that sunday, it may or may not take a day or two, so everybody take part!

First place - 30k + a bonus prize yet to be revealed

Second place - 15k + a bonus prize yet to be revealed

Third place - 7.5k + a bonus prize yet to be revealed

yeah sorry forgot about the small details lol, good point yuri. Sunday morning around 11am EST i should be posting a list of the items to get for the scavenger hunt. I dont see any reason why the officers cant enroll in it - you are after a part of this guild and deserve to have a break once in a while to have some fun. So if it were up to me I'd definately encourage the officers to take part in it. I hope everybody does. I would like to see 20 people going hunting or more! which brings me to another point. I'd like the officers to nudge some members along to check out our site, register on it if they already havnt, and hopefully take part in the hunt on sunday. I'm going to try to keep things like this event on going all the time. Urgoz runs (when we have the right builds for it), underworld, fissure of woe, place like that. Scrimages (only friendly in nature!) guild vs guild which members have asked me about over and over, pvp, anything and everything to keep us playin TOGETHER as a guild not to get off topic or anything lol

The winner will be determined by a first come first serve basis: you have to whisper either Vogo or myself to meet you and check off all your items and make sure your list is complete. Whispers will be responded to in the order they are received.

I believe the other prizes to be given out should be an item or two in which the individual player could use the most. If i just threw a mini pet out there not everybody may want or need one. But for example if you are trying to make a 55 monk and still need a totem and a -50 cesta, that can be arranged. if you need a max dmg inscribable sundering bow of fortitude, that can be arranged. So i think thats going to be the other prizes. Things that can benefit the player. so it should give each person something to shoot for besides just some extra gold.

If anybody has any thoughts, questions, ideas - please let me know. The best way for me to help serve you as an officer is for you to speak up and let me know what you want or need or may think is a good idea. keep the posts rolling

Im enrolling for it, but depending on whats going on with mine and my wife's work i might not be able to do it.

Before i forget - the scavenger hunt has been pushed back one week. It is most definately going to be sunday the 24th. Pushed back for a few reasons: I want to get as many ppl involved in it as possible and secondly because i wont be here that sunday as i originally had planned.

To keep people interested in joining in the hunt, I have decided to raise the gold rewards. For each person who enters this week from today until saturday night 11:50pm I shall add an additional:

10k gold to first place
5k gold to second place
2.5k gold to third place

Ok, to keep things fair i decided 95-100% of our guild has prophecies. Not everybody is all the way through the game. SO - the hunt takes place before the searing! Make a brand spanking new character (btw if you have 8 characters already then i have an alternate list if you dont want to delete one to make room) and start hunting !

The hunt went really well, alot of people joined in. It brought alot more attention to the website. For some odd reason alot of people ended up having to ask me what our website was..I told each and every one of them it was on the guild announcement every time you log on. Anyways. Hopefully it'll get better with each event, give me some time to get some practice in at holding these sorta things heh. If you have any suggestions for events let me know.
