Pls Do Not Shoot (King) for Squire

I've been noticing Pls Do Not Shoot a lot lately.  He is friendly, active in guild chat, and like to do stuff with other members.  I would like to nominate him for Squire.  

Anyone else have Squire candidates?  

I would consider Noods, but he refuses to register on the forum.

Tell noods we ban him if he doesn't D<

Also King seems cool to me, though I don't know him that well. I'll leave this to people who play more with him.

Agreed with king, he's cool from everythign I've seen, don't know much about noods but to me, no forum, no squire.

he might be a good officer I saw him talk in chat a few times always seemed to be on the positive.

Most of the times I've seen him comment has been him complaining about/trashing on his teammates in pvp.

I have not noticed his complaints.  

On a side note, not that this is an automatic qualification, but he is a returning AoL ancient.

Who is a returning ancient? King or someone else? I'd say being an ancient should have no bearing in any case.

Also, King seems alright, but he was begging for gold in gc the other day. Is this a one-time occurrence or in jest? Or is this a regular or semi regular thing?

He should know better.  I hope it was just a lapse of judgement or a joke.  

Yes, King is Krey from old AoL.  And, no it is not an automatic qualification.  Just an interesting fact.  I love when our old members return   I didn't realize who it was till we talked some and put 2 and 2 together.

I suspect it is NOT a regular thing, but it's good to have the extra eyes of other officers, just in case.

It's definitely not joking but I'll just keep eyes out for now.

If this is not an isolated incident, we should have a talk with him about this.  This has been a solid policy of AoL's since the very beginning.  We do not beg.

It may just be poor timing for when I've been on but I can tell the difference between a "oh man my team was really dumb so I just don't want to play pvp right now" comment vs "why is my team always filled with trash players. anet give me people at my skill level, etc". I believe I talked briefly about pvp and that was what established 100% that it wasn't joking.

Forgot to add this; He's almost always on his "Pls Don't Shoot" toon when he's pvping and/or when the guild chat has had that going on.

Double edit: I'm not actually sure how many variations of that he has for his toons so it could be more or less useful than expected.

He's on quite a bit when I am and I haven't had any issue with him... I'll keep a look out.

Ok, simply tell him that we discourage and look down on asking for gold. Then I think you can promote him.

Now that I think about it, I do believe I have seen King call people he pvps with stupid. I don't know if he is ever referring to guildies or not. I'll keep my eye out and grab a ss next time I see him him complain about his pvp companions.

I can't recall him referring to guildies at any point. Seems like it's just a little too much venting (though I do understand why he's frustrated, ranting about people and why they are bad/etc is not a good example for gc) usually.

Does King have multiple accounts? There's another person (account name Captain Finley.xxxx) that acts exactly the same about the same things.

That is a good question. I literally thought Captain Finley was King for a bit until I read his account name. Either they are the same, or happen to be two different people with similar personalities.

No, Captain Finley is not the same as King as far as I know.  I have personally witnessed Captain Finley exhibiting this behavior.  I have never noticed Please Do Not Shoot do this, but I defer to the judgement of witnesses.  But, unless someone can verify that Captain Finley is an alternate for King, then we should not hold King to account for Captain Finley's actions.

I wasn't trying to imply they were the same person. They just had almost identical behavior so I figured I would throw it out there since I don't know who's who as much as some others do.

Haven't seen King being an issue in a while so I imagine it only happens when he gets really frustrated. Finley does it a lot more than King did originally so maybe that's who we should keep an eye on now.
