I was just thinking something in Green since we are moving into Heart of Thorns. Something that would compliment a banner similar to this one on our Facebook.

Maybe we could just tweak the colors of the existing skin. I'm talking to Neoto about what we can do. I'm just a little bored with Orange, Red and Brown.

I really like it like this too, Durnik; but since we are getting so many complaints, we can talk to Neoteo about toning the neon down a bit. He has to change the color of each button individually because they are all images. I do not want to burden him with too much work. I like this better than the old Red. Especially with Heart of Thorns coming. Before, it was Neon Red. Someone made the comment that this was like Alien Ware, I believe that was Jolly. I like it, but so far we have four saying "don't like" and three saying they like it now. Hmmmm....

I like it cause i can see everything cos of how bright it is ahahah but also it goes with the expansion! LOL it just gets me more hyped c:

I can change the link colors easily. Buttons and dividers are individual images and must be edited one at a time. Neoteo has to do that.

Is the Blue links better? It takes the edge off of the neon green? Maybe another color?

lel exact opposite to me inu, green is harder to see for me.. maybe less of the brightness on the green for buttons?

I think the red and black dragons with the AoL sun rise better represented the core of who we are. This Heart of Thorns is only a expansion and like Guild Wars One ....there will be many more expansions to come. My vote will probably mean nothing..... but very much hope we stay with the banner we had. It better represented AoL. Thank You. Smile

Mrs Tech is a graphic designer. I'm sure others are in the guild. I dabble as a hobby with forum signatures. The new banner is nice, but even so. Updating a logo/banner is not a bad idea. Especially with the new guild halls coming soon. I say use this banner/set up for now. Then later after the xpac is released, with the new guild halls. have a contest or something for a new banner design that can pull together the old look/feel, but give it a nice update to commemorate the guild being around for so long and into a new expansion.

Have a few people summit idea's. and the guild as a whole can vote on it. I know not everyone has access to the tools needed.

Another idea is to have one person design it, but, the guild as a whole can throw idea's together. Have a basic lay out on a forum post, and have guild mates offer up suggestions, photo's or w/e. And we can collaborate on the new idea as a whole. Well everyone who gets on the forums anyhow.

Only thing really needed is size requirements.

and echo, kind with you.. I prefer our red coloring over this its been that way for soo long this change makes it feel like a different website lol but since most of us wanted change might as well go along with it

Midway brings up a good point.. we can base our forum look on our GH ( I already have ideas[like using a screenshot of GH and adding some aol flare to it] Very Happy

yes, i told beau that a radical change can be destructive, we have that prof here , all we did was change the colors and we already feel on a different place , imagine if we really had changed the theme.

i do agree the color change gives it a different "feel". what we have here now makes it look too "Splashy".
I don't really feel a change was needed imo. We could have just as easily made our own HoT banner using the old forum colors to match. instead of changing the entire forum to Green to match GW2 color theme. Green isn't that appealing.

It seem like more people dislike the change that like it. So, I guess we could go back to the original colors and just do a contest for an AoL Heart of Thorns banner that incorporates the Red and orange.

I like the change. But, only like three others have said they like it. Been staring at Red and Orange for eight years Razz
