Recruiting Drive

I think it might be a good idea to begin discussions about how we shall approach recruitment, I think our focus really needs to be on the "off-hours" time zones.
We need to work out whether we will focus on targeted recruitment or spam recruitment, I have found that you can find some amazing people through targeted, however, in saying that... a lot of our great members came from spamming!
How do you all think we should approach this?

My personal opinion is targeted is preferred but when spamming maps you spend a bit of time talking to each potential recruit before just sending out an invite...

I don't want to do a contest like before, but I would like to see a bigger push on recruiting.  I recently cleaned out room for 80 members.  

I agree that alternate time zone recruiting should be a focus, but we can recruit all time zones.  

I think each person should recruit the way they find that works best for them.  I have always been a fan of spamming the map.  I have gotten some wonderful people that way.
I always talk to them before extending the invite.  Let them know what we are like as a guild.

Targeted is ideal but I rarely see people in my parties that are not representing a guild.  I'm not often a fan of stealing from other guilds.  I often will talk about AoL when having pugs in a group though.

I completely agree with this! I would like to more emphasis on quality over quantity.. but that is just IMO

We do need more people in the other time zone.

Hopefully when I get my new position at work I can help with this- I won't be at work in the mornings since I'll be doing three 12s I just need a template to go by ♥️

You can start anytime Kara.  Starting this Friday, I will try to get with you, Mr Tech, Durnik, Jolly, and possibly Seamon & Bhukk too.  We can come up with a game plan.  Target a time slot, and hit is up.  It should be times when our alternate time zone officers are often online.  I don't want to pick a random time without representation.

I am usually online during the week from 8a-11a eastern, weekends is usually 8p-11a eastern providing I do not have any family engagements going on.

Good idea Durnik, post your regular play times and we can see where we have some good overlap, or atleast what time I want to concentrate on when I start playing with you guys to recruit.

I was thinking, perhaps it might be worth an idea to get together as a collective group and discuss how we will go about recruitment as officers?
If people dont really care how we go about it, that is one thing.. but for those that would like to share some input I think it would be important to have a full understanding across the board before we begin.

That is one reason I would like to get the regular play times of the officers concerned. Not only to coordinate this recruiting drives times, but to discuss our methods. We should have a meeting. (Kara, Durnik, Mr Tech, Jolly, and myself).

Absolutely Agree, Meeting needed for time zone of recruiting and method although I too am a fan of map spam
I work mon-fri 8-5 so anytime after that is good for me or weekends when I don't work at all...

We should post times in GMT or in US Pacific Time (game time).

I can be available any time.

I have absolutely no idea what the time would be your zones, but I generally play from 8am through to basically when no one is doing anything or I need to go out or do something IRL.
As I have been putting in as much time as I can I should be available for anything.. although Aaron likes me to come to bed before 10pm

Beau could you link your standard map message for us to all have a look at, and perhaps we should schedule that meeting to get the ball rolling?

Lets use server time for consistency.  You can set your game to display server time instead of local time.  I use server time.  I think I will change all time listings in forum and Guild Message soon.  

Press F11.  Fourth option down under User Interface.  Set In-Game Clock to Server Time.

Today I chatted with you guys from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM  Server Time.

I play roughly from 10pm through to 12pm... I do AFK alot, and I am busy alot too...
However, my PC is generally on and I am not too far away from the study..
If I need to be on and attentive at certain times to keep full coverage we can discuss this too :-D

Lets move any new conversation to the thread in the Round Table Recruiting Drive for all to see.  Please post the times that you want to help with recruiting for off hours.  Not the time you play at peak time   

I would like to see how many we can get on at one time find a sweet overlap spot.  Then we will schedule our meeting then.
