The Mesmer

To further clarify the link mentions that a lot of the art came from a slide show of which this imagine of was from; hence is possibly could be the last remaining scholar proffesion- it looks like a mesmer to me!

The art is official. It was made by Anet artist Richard Anderson. He also did the cover for the first book . However the "Mesmer" lettering was added by some random GW fan. The Mesmer has not been officially announced yet. But we all know it is coming because:

1)Pink is the Mesmer color from GW1. They have stayed true to all returning profession colors so far.

2)Butterflies only appeared in Mesmer skills from GW1.

3)It kinda looks like Gwen.

4)The Devs joked about "changing our minds" soon. hurr hurr

I'm not holding my breath over this. with the way Anet has been this might go either way, could be the last profession, could be a nobility class in game that players cant play which means there is still 1 more profession we don't know about. i think I'll wait till hey actually announce the last one before i get excited over it.

while it is entierly possible that it is a pic of a non-playable class. does that mean that there wont be mesmers? no. i think that if it's not a playable class theil either install it in an expantion. or they'll make it an npc only class for characters like nobles who generally are depicted as being controlling of the minds of the "lessers"
just my opinion. but quite likely.

100% chance of mesmer. I'll bet all my gold on it.

5)Oh and in the GW2 book Queen Jennah is a mesmer and uses specifically named "mesmer magic" to control minds and create illusions.
