Hide & Seek / Screenshot Competition

Hello! Finnguala here, and this is a continuous activity we hope to have for everyone to get involved in some extra fun (and to dab in some prizes)! Hide and seek is the name of the game.

Clear-cut rules
*Have the User Interface hidden in all pictures
*Do not shout out which area a picture is in after finding it.
*Don't seek your own picture...
*If you don't know how to upload a picture best, go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] then drag the picture file into your browser or click "Computer" under "Upload images"

1) Seek the current location.
2) Post a screenshot of you standing at the current location, preferably in a similar angle.
3) Wait a day or so for others to have a chance at finding the location and sharing in the glory of the find.
4) Reveal the previous location for others to realize.
5) Post a screenshot of a new location, or pass off this "honor" to a volunteer.
6) Give clues if the majority of participants are stumped.
7) Repeat.

Rewards
*If you so choose: first place, second place, third place, etc. winners may receive a prize (could attract more participants).
*The pride and feeling of success.

What I do is use the "flash player" tool and set a size so people can see it here.

Which is what I did here, it lets you pick a size.

No problem! In the future we'll most likely have more than 1st and 2nd place (I plan to). Uploading pictures can be a hassle, there's a lot of loops you can jump through if you aren't sure! Keep up the seeking!

The replies don't need to be organized. I update the main post to include the current location and rewards so everyone knows what they are. Unless you're meaning something else.

ok... where was last spot???
Are these areas in lower level areas?? say..1-15 or 15-25 or higher... I think most guildies are in the lower levels still..

All of the pics so far are low level zones to allow for everyone to participate in the game. It will eventually branch out into the higher level zones.

First spot was in Queensdale, the centaur battle grounds are seen in the right side of the screenshot. I'll include that in the old entries section from now on.

I have not tried to find the new spot yet, though I have a few ideas of where it may be. I was hoping for a few more people in here first. Is it time for a hint, or should we try to lure a few more people here first?

God Finn.... everytime I see your post, I crack up...lol. Ever think of being a comedian??? You got a great sense of humor!!!

I have yet to find these areas... and I keep seeing areas I'd love to post here... saying to myself....oh..this is a good spot... but can't find yours!!! It is such a large "unfamiliar" area...so it is quite difficult... maybe we can have a hint??? I stink at this game anyways... Rolling Eyes

Please refrain from posting a picture that reveals the location, his hint is itself - but don't reveal NPCs or your mini-map in the future (takes off the challenge for the winners behind you).

Whoops sorry, forgot to change the minimap. And trust me, with this particulary spot, the npc doesnt help you. AT ALL.

Haha, well finding the location itself isn't hard. Getting to it.... that's another challenge in itself. I hope you've practiced those jumping puzzles...but thanks, for future reference

It was...a pain. I took like twenty minutes, then I realized that where I started was where it was... it was so easy after that... irritating though Smile

jumping puzzle?? guess I will not try this then.... they only give me a aneurism..then I have to drink a bottle of wine, throw down a few vicadin to calm me down... I HATE JUMPING PUZZLES!!!

That is the Black Widow Spider from HoM.

Yup I got it from the HoM. You can charm a black widow spider, a white moa, a white raven, and a rainbow jellyfish. The spider is good because its ranged and can poison and immobilize.

I know Rynk's Hide & Seek kinda got forgotten, but I finally found it. Took me forever. I could see the mountains, but couldn't figure out your exact spot. Whew! Laughing

We still have Second Place for Rynk's Hide and Seek available. A hint for that is that one could be that its not far for a Baby Norn to climb. Here is one from me. This one shouldn't be too hard.

I think you are just too close. If you click on my picture, you will get a wider angle view. That may help you find the position.

Beau you raise a good point. These forums are empty, and I have no idea why. Maybe it's because we are used to an alliance, and now we are limited to a guild. Maybe we need to promote the forums more. All I know is that when I joined, the forums were packed.
