My 1st poem

I figured I plan to get back in the game I should start getting myself back in here. This is the one and only poem I ever wrote, it's definitely not something people expected of me, even my close friends here said this doesn't even sound like something you'd write. Hope you guys think its ok Razz

Cold Stares

Long Ago, the good days seem to be
And every time I look back at them they scream at me
…What have you done…?
She was as sweet as a sugar bun
Eyes full of warmth, smiles full of joy
Then I turned myself to the wooden horse of Troy
…Or so she thought…
See me, she did, as a pleasant gift
Till the devil inside me made a titanic rift
And now her eyes that were once warm
Tear apart my soul with their Scorn
Is it fear? Is it anger? I cannot tell
But every time she lays her eyes on me it feels like hell
I said I’m sorry…not for being me
You need to know in that respect that I am free, however…
I do regret the consequences of my endeavor
They say everyone deserves a second chance
All I’m asking for from you is a second glance
To see the warmth filled eyes one more time
Is it so heinous, my crime?
Things don’t need to be as they were before
I’ve learned from my mistakes…I’ve gained some lore
My only wish…to take away from you the hating glares
My redemption…to thaw the ice from your cold stares
